I can understand the need to avoid controversy, but the minimum Paradox should do with DV is give a Romanian culture tag, and 15-20 blank ones. That way us Paradox fanboys can mod the game as much as we like. Ideally they'd also un-hard code things like unit sprites, and the race of various cultures.
Oh, they should also re-name South Slavic culture Balkan. I thought Paradox had forgotten Romanians completely until I read this thread. Really who sees South Slavic and says "Aha! I was looking for the Romanians!"

Even lumping South Slavs is ridiculous because on one side you have the eastern South Slavic languages which are Bulgarian and Macedonian; and on another side you have western South Slavic which are Slovenian, Croatian, Bosnian, Serbian and Montenegrin which should be separated from each other as well due to vast differences in naming.
Just because you don't know crap about something doesn't mean it's "minor". At least if you are pretending to be making a game about European history.

And as for South Slavic tag, this is not just South Slavs, I am repeating once again - they lumped all South Slavs with Romanians in this tag which is insanse. That would be like lumping Germans and Italians or Poles and Hungarians. Even South Slavs lumped togher is extremely problematic.
The main problem here is that people do not realize or do not want to realize this is about naming. People don't realize that if you lump South Slavs togheter then you will get ridiculous situation where a Croatian king might be name Asparukh (exclusively Bularian name) or Bulgarian king name Hrvoje (exclusively Croatian name) and trust me I witnessed similar situations before I started modding it and it felt like I'm in a twilight zone when it happens.
Anyway I completely support your proposition for more culture tags and especially for uncoding the race and sprite managment if possible. That would raise the standard of the game immensely and would also bring it to another modability level.

Oh no you're right. Paradox is a horrible, racist game company who is out to disparage your nationality and everyone in it. That much is quite clear.
Remember its a game,everything everyone wants isnt going to make it into the game or even the expansion.
I myself am just glad to see there is going to be an expansion to a game I havent stopped playing since I purchased it when it was released.Heck My 13 year old daughter even has a copy.

Well first of all this is not about my nationality or any nationality at all, this is about cultures and Paradox is not infallible when we talk about this, they've made mistakes before and they have corrected them.
