Something I'm not completely clear on - When a planet has more than 1 species on it, how is it determined which race the next 'grown' pop on that planet will be? I'm just trying to plan ahead with my genetic modifications. If a planet has, say, 2 pops on it.. and I genetically modify one... will the next pop that grows be of original genes or modified genes? Or is it some kindof probability % based on the pop composition of the planet? Or something else?

Thanks

They both grow at the same time, but the growth rate is divided between them. Growth is also divided proportionally based on the number of pops of a species already present, so if species A has double the pops of species B it will grow its pop twice as fast.

Also i may be wrong but I don't think you can just gene mod individual pops of a species on a planet, its all the pops of that species for that planet.
