1936 Campaign.
Here is my problem in a nutshell: Yugoslavia fell to my armies without any other Axis member’s assistance, but as I go to Annex Yugoslavia I realize three provinces are considered occupied by Italy! I had launched some of my attacks from Italian Controlled Albania, so without adjacent provinces of my own they were just GIVEN to Italy.
I recall reading in past patch notes that this happens to make supply lines run smoother, but in this case it made no difference for supply efficiency who occupied the province.
This is a frustrating point as I now have no adjacent lands in which to attack Greece. So if the same rule applies I’ll basically be conquering Greece for Bulgaria or Italy. Yes that helps my allies, but those provinces will be put to much better use in my hands.
Is there some trick to getting those provinces back? It would absurd to think the computer determines who controls a province based on something as blunt as "if you don't have an adjacent province one of your allies gets it, period."
I mean there may be times when I want a province more then the most efficient supply, so I certainly hope there is a way around this problem.
Thanks.
