First, Wiz started saying that I am full of crap and calling me names. If thats wasnt a small company, but EA or vivendi, he would've been fired already. Secondly, I pointed out, that I was already a head of department in a bank when I was 31, while Wiz is just a lead programmer in a small video game company. I didnt mock him, i pointed out facts, when he was flaming me. But I still respect him and consider him to be a decent programmer. He just should learn to value experienced smart people and keep open mind.

No-one forced you to come into this thread and read his (much better justified and articulated than most of the other threads on the forum) speculation 'spam'.
If you don't think there's anything to discuss because $INFORMATION_INSUFFICIENT, $DOES_NOT_COMPUTE then you're well within your rights to sew your own lips together until release date, but don't charge other people with a needle and thread.

Also I am forced to wonder
A) How you actually function in society if you refuse to act unless you have access to mathematically certain data? One would think you would have starved to death because you're not absolutely certain someone didn't put strychnine in your hamburger
B) Why are you even on the Stellaris discussion forum if you think that discussion prior to release is somehow equal to trolling?

So I earlier made a post critizising the conclusions drawn by the OP. My reason for this was that I did not belive the version of the ethos bonuses we have seen is the final version.
(And there are several unknown factors, like event/techs, as well as we not knowing the direct impact of the bonuses.

However I think this thread as turn to much into bashing the OP over and over again for the same thing (which naturally turns the OP deffesnive, and the cycle continues). Thus I would like to add:

Given my vnon-existed knowledge of the game, and under the assumption that the bonueses are the "thing" of each ethos, I agree with the OPs analysis. Certain ethos do seem much stronger than there counterpart (best way to determine this is to compare with the costs of the various traits).

I also agree that potential disbalance is a sever issue. Sure I will pick ethoses for roleplay reasons and not only to min-max, but I don't want to be punished to do so. Especially when I belive somewhat good balance should not be so hard.
Example is in Civ V were they have balanced some things really poorly, I don't understand why they never fixed it around since it do hurt the game.

But we do not know yet that this is an issue. I'm sure that paradox is aware that people hope for balance and I know that the people there are capable to identify when things are not balanced, and fix it.

Only launch will tell.

From the OP it clearly shows that it is not just opinion, but a certainty (from OPs pov) that these things ARE broken.
And not just a little, but a lot, judging from the numbers.
This is clearly shown by the whole post being written as a statement.

This can only mean that the OP thinks that he is much much smarter than not only ONE other person, but a whole team of developers and Q&A people.
People that have access to much more information than OP AND have actually played the game.

This would be one of the more extreme examples of arrogance that I have seen in a long time.
And a total lack of humility, bordering on megalomania.
If this is the case, I can only imagine the trouble OP have in his daily life and I hope he gets help to be a more balanced person.

The OP is actively "trolling" and trying to not only get under the skin of the people making the game but also actively trying to put a negative spin on the game.

From his history it is hard to tell, but I am slightly favoring the second option, simply because I have a hard time believing the first.
If the second option is true, I see no reason keeping someone like that around.

One thing the OP seems to have left out though, is rating the neutral option. Many of the government types are locked out if you choose any level of Individualism or Collectivism (and neither of those actually unlocks any government type). Whether you agree with 10-1 or not, there's a missing rating there. For example, if your build or strategy requires one of the Democracies, it really doesn't matter how much better you think Collectivism is than Individualism - your choices will be Neutral, Individualist and Fanatic Individualist.
