Could you clarify if you will leave or not kshar. Id very much like you to continue as i enjoy playing along side you but need to be sure who im playing next session.

Also i have lot of sypathy for BIBs situation. Although i was against the whole hapsburg empire thing part of this objection was for the benifit of the player.1 because its a whole lot of management for 1 brain. 2 because a merged spain austria is weaker than having them seperate. Can we give the complains a little rest if possible.

I can clarify that for the near future I can continue to be a protestant troublemaker. However, in August things get tricky and i'll have to see ... I also even now can't commit to the amount of diplo/aar writing that would be ideal for this game, despite the fact that is why I joined.

Excellent point, I find this defeatist attitude disturbing. I for one would like to play on. My 'potential' leaving has nothing to do with the game itself.

Personally I also am quite dissapointed with how fast the crew has thinned. From 14 players, with a Netherlands on the horizon, we're now down to 12. Eleven when String has quit. Ten when K'shar has done so. That tends to make one a bit sad.

However, I enjoy this game, I think we have a good crew (what's left of it) and I want to continue as long as I keep enjoying it. I will continue investing my time and effort in it, till I don't find it enjoyable anymore.

In the worst case I would advocate for a summer break and try to get necessary new players in september again. Perhaps some lost souls to WoW would then like to play a bit good old eu2 again.

For now, I propose to create the Kalmer Union to stomach the loss of Denmark and continue with it. I have some nice plans with France and I won't allow BiB to quit before I have unleashed Turenne on him. And after that he has to wait for Napoleon

I agree with Bibbi; 6-8 players is perfectly fine for most normal games. However, seeing as this is supposed to be an RP game, this few nations played kinda hampers things.

And I also agree that it's better to quit now instead of wasting 2-3 more sessions playing before finally pulling the plug; either we keep playing on with the intention to finish the game, or we quit right away.

Accusing my sweet, innocent mod of causing trouble is low, though.

But if BiB can find us new perms if it means using vanilla EU2 instead, I'm all for it.

Personally, I will play on untill the end or till FAL pulls the plug - whichever comes first.

even Denmark, Sweden and Brandenburg are better than 150 ducats Russia And that is with our 0% inflation. Infra3 costs 50K, i`ll hail when i get it finally after 26 years of full investments

I don't see your massive support for quitting, BiB. But if you don't enjoy the game and want to quit, I will take over Spain unless Cheech wants it, and Cheech can take Kalmar Union.

IMO, RP or no RP, a MP game is viable as long as it has 7-8+ players. Yes, every nation won't be involved, but considering the thinning playerbase in the community in general, I don't think we have the luxury of being picky.

I'm going to check my schedule for the sessions I might miss in July, but I'm confident I can make it work without missing any of them.

I'm saying that I think it's best to not waste time on a dead project - but that I will keep playing untill FAL says it's over.

I said that it wasn't strictly contradictory. Perhaps the word is the wrong one. Confusing would be better.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a waste of time. But if the game will die in 2 weeks, then I see it as a waste of time to play the next 2 sessions. Or put in another way: if more people might drop out within a short time, please say so now so we won't be wasting our time.

Although I am really more with BiB, let's say I am neutral, because what I am actually doing is checking how right I was when I said it was wrong to leave Holland and Spain without some incentives to become enemies...

How long will the "probation period" last? Could be quite long, because I don't have a particular wish to be the cause of the game breaking apart.

I still can't agree with you that you are in the majority, BiB.

I think you should suck in your gut and continue playing. We'll have fun, even if we aren't as many.

I think a few of the players you listed as continuers aren't any different from me as in that they would also certainly hate it when the game was continued for a bit more and then abandoned anyway. If you read my post, I can see how you interpret it as a plea for quitting but xurely you also noticed my attempt to get players to confirm their continued dedication and the quest for new players. I'd hardly bother with that if I wanted to just quit I want to keep the current players, find new ones and go on!

(Oh, and I'll readily agree that an MP game with fewer players, say 8, can work just as well but then it needs a different setup than one with, say, 14 players of course.)
