I wonder if Fred offers in each game in each war his opinion about how the war should be peaced :rofl:

If i got a powerful nation in my back, that allows me to run a rather free diplomacy and dont need to fear anyone i very much like to "play" as a superpower. In this case the sultans words are rather powerful, as the OE is the biggest threat towards Russia atm.
I think your reply comfirm that, as you seek sympathy against the "evil" OE

The Emperor needs to attend to this mess that is Bavaria. The absurdly loud mouthed, complaining and aggresive Prince needs disciplining ... by a strap if need be.

On permission from the Court in Vienna, Brandenburg marched on the Saxon Vassal of Hessen, within a week Bavaria astonishing all parties and violating the sanction of the Emperor attacked Brandenburg and caused great losses to our supply trains and reinforcements. Terribly outnumbered, the Crusading army of German Knights retreated north where soon half of the Margrave was occupied with Magdeburg falling twice (and losing its fort) and Berlin twice as well. In time though the late Lt. General Castrilli (who shall castrate any bavarian coming his way) aided by the most well trained army in the world and its loyal protestant allies to the North repeatedly shattered Bavarian-Saxon-Genoan-Papist forces to the tune of 4x their own casualties and every single battle (minus 1) ending in victory. Within a few years of hard fighting the tide had turned and Saxony/Hessen was occuupied and the Bavarian army broken, however despite requests from the Emperor the Elector refused to make peace to the Northern Alliance's demands. In turn BB was forced to annex anhalt and vassalize Hessen till the matter can be addressed properly. Till then we prepare an army to invade Bavaria itself.

Charles is worried by Felipe failing to maintain order in the HRE.

Considering we had agreed to set up a council to discuss ongoing matters, and which will be done, I highly doubt things are all that problematic as soem try to make it out to be. Atm it looks like Brandenburg has legitimate grievances though we want to hear from Bavaria first too of course.

Mixed luck with Venice:
- defeated by OE; the decissive moment when they sneaked pass Venetian scouts and landed on Crete; Cyprus lost
- exploration suffered a lot due to war and than explorer died failing to find the two most important things in his mission: COTs
- but a conquistador came, which was good; he also died because rebells attacked his army; luckilly, he found one COT before dieing
- than the second one came, and than a third one, all appearing on frozen ice of Falklands or Tierra del Fuego... those two are currently exploring and helping colonisation
- trade is good, Venice is the world leader, as it should be
- sadly , colonisation was also good: with 9 (14 in a matter of months) cities instead of 5 we are no longer so tech oriented; but we are the leading naval and land military, at least in tech
- conversions innitiated on Rhodes and Crete, soon in colonies too (Huron natives)
- all that was EXPENSIVE though: 1000 d to be repaid, total paid for interests (without explorer loan, which alone was 2000 d total) was about 1000 d; inflation is probably the highest in the civilised world, more than 12%

Abusive?
First of all, i was forbidden to fight Austria the first session.
I got Hungary, which im more then pleased with atm. I dont like to eat more then i can chew
Second, my mission made me focus on Spain/Africa the second session. Still Austria did lack a perm player and i didnt want to screw things up before a new perm could take em over.

So i consider your critique to be unfair, and unjustified.

*shrug*, we've seen Spain and OE fight a bitter conflict in North Africa and the OE rampage over Hungary, leaving Austria no chance. We fought more than in history by now.

Meanwhile the Russians have expanded vastly by beating up on nations they dwarf multiple times in manpower and income. At least pick on someone your own size

Even more important than certain nations warring over certain provinces by, is the general feel of the game in which wars don't get turned into an early version of World War I but instead get decided in a nice limited RP style, which for example the OE has done exemplary up till now. The fact you seem unable to go along with such a concept is the only reason why I sent an expeditionary army after all.

The OE fought Venice 1 on 1, they agreed a set of rules to go by beforehand and terms. OE won that limited conflict and Venice duly ceded Cyrpus. Do you think the OE couldn't take all Venetian provinces and take 3 provs too? OF course he could. The thing is that is not in the spirit of the game so he didn't, which is extremely commendable.

Now, I will say again, this is not about your grievances, you very well might be completely right about those. However, your way of trying to "solve" those matters though is severely lacking if you ask me.

Venice is sorry for that war between our alliance and Brandenburg. That's what you get when Doge of Genoa is technically the leader of the alliance .

That and inviting Pope and The Knights to the REPUBLICAN League . Now, if Doge of Venice was the leader of the alliance...

1st of all noone warned me of emperor sanction. Second emperors sanction of me taking hanover has never been rekognised by brand. Third denmark and sweden gettinvoled in hre matters is not acceptable.

I am defeated though but dont ask silly demmands though. 2 out of my 3 vassals is unfair in 1 war. This is an rp game after all Also you want money which i have none of. Also you want stuff from saxony. Also i only wanted you to wp saxony i had no demmands myself

BTW fal i had no random leader all session which caused some nasty defeats. AI saxony annexing my vassal was annoying too.

BiB, one small question. Please show me the RP way to restore Lithunians if they were unfairly eaten out by AI. I`m indeed not good in RP with my little experience, so teach me.

GM offered (and forced) me to make second war, while i could release Lithuania in first one. Guess if there would be stubborn second war then ?

P.S. By the way, the war lasted only 6,5 years, which is far from counting as long one even.

We agree that Denmark has little or no business in the HRE matters. However if our protestant brothers are attacked in such a totally unprovoked way then it is our duty to help them!

Anyway the danish help was limited due to them being techically at war with only Bavaria and unable to attack Saxon or the troops of their allies.
