II. Das Rheingold - update # 8

As you can see, I've decided to hold (or fix ? what's the right word ??) Allied armies at Antwerp and Luxemburg. The longer they hold those towns, the more my mobile forces can manoeuvre (move). I pushed through North Belgium to pocket Antwerp and Bruxelles by the south. When Namur is taken, i throw my mobile forces from Köln to Liège. Infortunately, Luxemburg is taken too early, so the french will be able to reinforce their line in Reims. But that's okay, the pocket attempt in Belgium is still a success.

I saw them around Lille by air recon before the beginning of the offensive. But i've never seen them after. They probably gave their BEF as EC to France.

I am still not quite used to the flags in the mod, in the last picture I found myself wondering what all those norwegians units are doing in Germany?

Well you ARE posting quite many updates, but they are quick to read so it's no problem.

I still struggle to master the strategy in this mod - I am too used to the old system of quick victories and 5 hour battles. That's too bad since I just started my first game as Germany with your mod and if I don't learn it soon it's gonna end with an embarrassing defeat

I also believe this is how DVD-IT managed to encircle 107 soviet divisions in Stryj in his AAR.

Funny thing is that I too still struggle to learn the right way to handle the right combat tactics with this mod a bit. Achieving blitzkrieg is really difficult with battles lasting much longer and with your enemy having much more time to reinforce their weak spots, regardless of AI.

I have found it to be easier when you simply attack at multiple points at once, that confuses the AI and if You're lucky the reinforcements run in the wrong direction.

That's the nazi flag. But you can't see the swastika so i can use it.

The Antwerp pocket has been destroyed. Now i ordered my mobile forces to push through the Channel to pocket the Allied armies in the north of France.
After this, i will take Paris.

How do you stop the divisions in Rheims from moving North?

Divisions from Reims ? None of them is moving north.

Make sure to keep these Panzers moving once the pocket is complete, as yiu don't want a dynamo to be pulled on you.
