Denmark stalling entire WWII as UK on VH

For the first time ever playing as the UK, I decided to try on VH, hoping to get really blitzed and pushed back in Africa etc.

However, nothing of the sort is happening. Germany is a monster with more than 800 army brigades and 75+ air units. It crushed Poland in 2 weeks, then went on to Denmark on October 10th 1939, sending in only a few infantry foot units. The Danes pulled back to Copenhagen and with just 1 cavalry and 3 infantry divisions and a small land fort, they have held back the entire Wehrmacht since!

It is now July 24th 1940. Norway has not been invaded and my troops in France are getting a sun tan waiting for herr Hitler to dow the low countries, but that ain't happening either.

What do you think? Do I need to quit the game and start over?

Is perhaps a sub preventing the German troops to cross? Besides, Germany will start the Invasion of Norway and the Benelux countries even if not everything is going according to their plan - it will just start slightly later.

No subs, the Germans have landed on Zealand and taken the western part. They just don't move against Copenhagen, Guldborgsund and Helsignore.

As long as the danes have ships and keep them blocking that little strait that crosses over to Copenhagen im pretty sure land units are denied movement. Tag switch and delete the Danish navy and all should be well.
