Denmark is stille a pathentic state

On the origin of Dano-Norwegian ships, I suspect most were built in Denmark simply because oak was the main ship building material of the time, and I don't think Norway got a lot of oak. The tar, which was needed in large quantities as well, may have been Norwegian.

If you are referring to the war of 1657, it was to Sweden a defensive war, as Denmark declared it when Sweden at the time was busy in a war with Poland (aka the deluge).

I have no clue as to where you have your sources, but the norwegian timber production I have been mentioning is of oak. I tried to find an international source, but the closest I found is the norwegian wiki, here it is freely translated but if you are scandinavian you can read the source yourself

In previous times oak trees were highly sought after for shipbuilding and the norwegian oak was heavily taxed. This was in particular true for the coast of Agder. Most of it was exported. It has been claimed that the development of the dutch republic into one of the greatest seafaring nations in the 17th century had been impossible without access to norwegian oak. The Dutch did also solve the problems with the poor soil conditions in Amsterdam by using the norwegian oaks as foundation for their city.

No sources, as I said it was merely a guess on my part. I was not aware you had a fair amount of oak in Norway.

It had more to do with what we call the 'Moedernegotie', or 'Mothernegotiation'. It was by far the most profitable trade that we had, and the wars were there so that nobody would own both sides of the öresund.
