Will there be a demo of HOI3? I need it because, unfortunately, I'm not confident that my computer can play it. And will it be coming out alongside the game?

I've got enough RAM, but... 64 Megabyte built-in Laptop graphics card - ouch! (I know the sys reqs say 256, but I've found that several games with ostensible 128 "minimum" and 256 "recommended" requirements are adequately playable with my laptop (not fun, necessarily, but playable...), and since HOI3 isn't going to need a great framerate to play, I figure I'll have a decent chance.

I just hope it doesn't run too slow. HOI2 already takes a half-hour per year, which makes the build-up to war pretty much interminable.

I have a desktop that's much more robust, but I'll be leaving it behind when I go to college, so I've got a definite dilemma.

Maybe someone else has pointed this out, but on some laptops I have seen, the graphics card and computer shares the ram somehow, you can change the allocation in your BIOS settings.

they way ive always understood demos is to be 80% of the final game, so when its at an advanced level and enough to get a feel for the game they release the demo, basicly its the full game with out the finishing touches

I played the HOI2 demo years ago. I found it boring and somewhat confusing and didn't think about it again. Then I stumbled across the game like a year or so later and loved it, not even realizing it was the same title for quite awhile.

I guess it was because the full game struck me as 'Axis and Allies on steroids', where the demo's (iirc) limited scope didn't give that impression. So yeah, just sharing.
