Is there going to be a free demo before this game comes out? I would like to get a taste of it before putting down x dollars.

Why do you guys need a demo? Seriously how many people here havent played HOI games? probably a few. But even then, if you remember the HOI2 demo...it didnt really give you an idea of the game. It just let you play a senario which hardly anybody even plays when they got the full game. if it were anything like the HOI2 demo, youd have no idea how the game plays other then a limited combat.

Not worth the time IMHO.

People don't want to wait until August. However since we've yet to hear of naval or strat ai being ready for prime time doubt this will happen.

Well to me i think you are wrong in every aspect of what you said. Not to mention if i could play a demo i could show some of my friends that sadly never played hoi 1 and 2 that this game is awesome. Perhaps even persuade them to buy the new Hoi3. Cant say that is bad.

Hardware configurations. I know perfectly well that my computer will eat HOI3 for breakfast. Other people with hardware closer to borderline (like my brother on a 2.8 GHz P4, 1 GB RAM and an FX 5200) will want to know if they can actually play HOI3 or if it will die on them. This is particularly pertinent for laptop owners who can't easily upgrade their video card and have to see if what they have will cut it.

Demo will be there on friday.

Source? I'd love to be able to put a concrete date on the FAQ.
