[Demo] Question about changing laws...

Just played a real promising demogame as the count of Napoli (and later known as duke of capua and sicily muhahaha)...

Since start i can't change the succession law from gavelkind to primo.
The tooltip give me a red * on "reign last at least for 10 years".
But that is true, my glorious Sergios Spartenos ruled since start and it is 1084 now.

Is this a typo in the requirements or a bug in the calculation?
I hope it is fixed in the release, Count of Napoli is one of my favs to start but gavelkind sucks in this region...

I played the same character and came across the same problem. It seemed that the 'short reign' counter reset after changing my primary title from count of Napoli to duke of Capua.

Other problems ensued when the duke of Apulia declared himself the king of Sicily, as my lands ceased to be under Byzantine crown laws. I was asked to vote on Sycylian law reforms, though there was no kingdom listed on the laws screen. It seemed like crown laws defaulted to 'autonomous vassals' for me, though I was able to revoke titles.

This would be a bug then or is there anything i miss why the time should reset if you change your primary title from Count to Duke?

Can't tell if it's a bug or WAD, especially considering that the duke title had to be created as it didn't exist earlier.

In order to change the succession law for the Duke-title, you need to have been the duke for 10 years. Makes sense to me.

What are the prerequisites to change succession laws to primogeniture as a vassal duke or count? It's just the last condition which I always have problems with. It seems that many counties/duchies start with gavelkind (which is a bit sub optimal), and I want it changed.
Do I read it correctly: I have to be independent OR there has to be a high crown authority in my lieges kingdom? If that is correct, I think most duchies in the HRE won't change to primogeniture anytime soon ...

Yea it's sad. Imo it's not fun to play with gavelkind. Under gavelkind you should never ever create or ursup more than one dutchy titels or they will be lost on succession (if you are not king, if you are king i guess more than 1 king title and the rest will be lost)

I am confused. I am playing as the (independent) King of Poland, and still the last condition is red when I try to change to primogeniture. My crown authority is not high enough, but what does "Not affected by a Crown Law Title" mean exactly?

I have a bug where I can change laws in a regency even though I shouldnt be able to.
