Demo or pre-order ?

Although I was very dissapointed by HOI3 I am still a paradox fan and going to buy this game for sure cause they give us great games for years and deserve our respect and support but before it I want to play demo I searched forums but unable to find any therad about demo when will it released and can it released quickly cause I want play this game soo bad = ))

If you want just like me please comment lets make paradox hear us = )))

About preorder I check gamersgate but there was nothing about vic2 when will it available ?

I hope there is no other therad about these questions if there is I am sorry !!!

I expect it will be done weak or so before the official release, just like with HoI3.

Don't forget, that making demo takes some resources from the game itself. Also too hastily released demo can mean suboptimally optimized experience resulting into lower sales and not to mention long frustration, since every demo is basically just tantalizing teaser

but i dont think the demo will be hastly cause paradox plans its every move just like other game companies so for my opinion the demo is ready now and they just wait...

I'm looking forward to Victoria 2 but as I have not played the first one, I'm afraid I don't like this one or do not understand it. Otherwise I would pre-order it but now I think I wait the demo which hopefully is not too overwhelming .

Try out the vic1 but dont expect the game will be same that game dont have interfaces like diplomacy menu or tech it was all in the map and provinces....

Yeah, I thought about that but when I heard Vic 2 is coming I did not bother to buy the first one.

May be a wise decision. V2 will be much easier to learn. V1 is the best game ever, but it is darn difficult to learn. Don't scare yourself with the notorios V2 UI...

Yeass Vic 1 is a hard game to learn I hope Vic 2 will be less complicated...

Yes, and the people sharp enough to provide those are also sometimes sharp enough to slip in a custom Trojans/keyloggers or two that commercial AV programs might not catch right away so they can capture new serials and other goodies from your own system as well. I would be cautious of such things.

This is the truth. V1 is a great game, but it's harder to learn than any other game you care to name, by a large margin.

V2 should be easier to learn, but from the looks of it, not dumbed down.

Not usually a fan of paradox demos, I tried out the HOI2 one and while it was alright, it didn't give me much of a feel for how playing the game itself would actually feel. Obviously I'll download any demo for Vicky 2 that appears as a salivating fanboy, however.

Wasn't HoI2's demo a Battle Scenario anyway? So it would feel quite different to the main game. For example EU3's demo allowed you to play as any European nation for forty years or something, which provided much better view of the gameplay.

I didn't think Victoria was that hard to learn. I am not going to say I am a super gamer but once you can successfully make a profit you pretty much have the game in the palm of your hand. The military and building were simplistic.
The notion of consciousness and how your populace feels was a little difficult to understand but the interface gives you a good idea of how your population fees and how your decisions will impact them.

The idea of POPs is the hardest thing to grasp in the game and that is partly because the development of POPs in gaming terms could have used work. When the game first came out POPs were little understood and it took a while for people to master manage them.
I would have much preferred a system whereby POPs manage themselves and have a fluid and automated system by which they moved up and down in society based on hard work, luck and education.
Instead we have the gamey system where we can move the job system and lifestyle of millions of people.
I never liked the POP system in its current form
