Demo: First Impressions?

I played a game with castille until 1520 and got lucky or unlucky ...first i diploannexed aragon, shorlty after that event i got into a personal union with portugal ... colonizing the caribeans went fine but ... inheriting portugal broke my neck, to much colonies, not enough money 
some impressions:
- Cultural Tradition is for a colonizing empire somehow free candy. after the first years i had a court filled with 6-star advisors. Looks good but somehow overpowered
- The royal marriage system is awesome. Austrias heir died and the ai reacted well... nearly the whole hre endet with a royal marriage (and in the end a new heir was born)
- I like the national focus, a good thing if you conquer heathen provinces (lowers revoltrisk and increases the chance of conversion)
- besides the cultural settlement decision ... there is still the "cultural change" event, granada went castillian for free
- micromanagment concerning pirates decreased

yeah, but the tag cheat does not work properly in eu3:Httt.. causes all sort of crashes and misbehaviour.
Ok... or is this just an explanation of why you forgot the 'tag' cheat?

The "authority" cheat is a nice one. Started as Austria and by using this cheat I managed to unite the HRE within a year. The "magistrate" cheat is also a nice one.
The "authority" cheat is to powerful to handle A united Germany + northern Italy + the Netherlands + Austria + Switzerland!
If not the emperor, you should be aware of the HRE becoming to powerful. There is a decision to make the title of emperor hereditery. Still a lot to find out but: when typing "infamy" as a cheat I returned to desktop and the game chrashed.
And yes cheating is wrong perhaps, but I nice way to find out the possibilities.

well there is all sorts of unions , crazy battle results , i have to beat 2-3 times an enemy army to wipe them out , but my 11k sieging stack is eliminated without battle

Tried to play as Sweden, noticed I couldn't.
Next step to play as the Hansa. Got a tad annoyed that it was still feeling "slow", even if of course the reality was that it was a lot quicker than EU3 vanilla.
After that I noticed that there are quite a few awesome new things included, I especially enjoyed the new view on advisers ( I hated how it was in EU3 vanilla, I truly hated the randomness).
Still couldn't bother to play any longer time. Will try again some other time with demo, but EU3 still isn't my cup of tea (at least if playing Hansa).

Try Castille if you want an historically guided game with the missions and decisions.. 1492 should be fairly historical for you.. at worst you wasted an hour or two of your life, at best you had some great fun.
hmmm this must be wrong.....i started a game with france, who is in war with england, when i took calais i had like 11% war score, i checked the peace options, and they wouldnt accept either white peace or conceade defeat, but hey! they accepted form union! :rofl::rofl::rofl: must be a bug, right? RIGHT?
English like the French croissant, but don't want to give up the english breakfest. I think a personal union is to best and only way the get this.

Well, look at the other screenshot. One week and I inherited them. Wow, this way I'll make a WC in HttT in no time! PU's with France, Castille, Austria, England... as Brandeburg...
you are lucky , got 7% from that , and of course i can't cross that channel

Hmm, I didn't see it happen much. I saw Poland inherit Lithuania once.
