Who's the bugcatcher?

It's useless because warfare can easily provide you with all the prestige you need.
In 1399 the vassals, even the ones with two provinces, usually roll with a one unit army, if I remember correctly?Actually in 1399 it might be better to keep them around until youve retaken the other, non-vassal cores. Their combat power is pretty good and if you annex them all right away, Burgundy and England may proove difficult to crack.
Well, that was a little2) Remember Alexander the Great!![]()
I've tried to add union by event too but seems like union works only if your country have culture of that group.5) True, IMO they should be the german union. You can add this via event btw, check the italiannation file, second decision, for an example.
first views, very nice. My favourite new cb is the alliance one. I've thought this should be introduced for ages. I think on top of this there should be a new layer of alliance called coalitions. Rather than having a bilateral alliance, you can form a coalition with a nation and then invite other nations to the coalition. It would be a new diplomatic layer allowing for a coalition war and coalition policy etc.
Kind of linked to the coalition idea, i'd like the idea of having a 3rd party mediator diplomatic option. Eg 2 nations are at war. You do diplomatic option "mediate terms." both sides then say what they want and you can use influence to draw up a treaty for both of them. This would help represent your power and control as a large nation.
Also, with the new heir system, i think there should be a new screen showing the siblings of the current ruler. You can only have as many marriages as you have princes and princesses. Sort of like the old game knights of honor where you married your princes and princess to those of other nations to form the royal marriage.
Finally, i think if you have 2 countries of different religious groups (eg muslim and christian) that have a tolerence of 1 or more of the other group, marriage should be possible between them. These are the only features i would really like to see added. Otherwise, fantastic job.

I was thinking a bit about it, maybe a truce should be enforced when you let go of a vassal. That ought to do the job, cus after 5 years god knows what allies they've managed to get a hold of.
Diplo-annexing a vassal: Slider moves 1 toward decentralization, you lose 100 standing with the rest of you vassals, you have to wait 10 years to annex another one.
DOWing them after canceling vassalization: No stab hit, no BB.
This seems like a pretty clear choise to me. The only exeption, as france, would be with Provence, if the HRE is powerful.
