My waterbusses always get Stuckt. And i mean at every damn place. I have 4 Lines with 2 Waterbusses each and at some point they collide and it happens every 5 min. I changed locations of the waterbus-stops, but then it happend somewhere else. The routing for the waterbusses is not as good as for the other vehicles :). Maybe you can work on that a little more :) (sorry it's still the open beta Version, so dunno if wayfinding was optimized since then.)

Ok, I'm getting stuck with a bit of a crash problem (and by that, I mean that it won't get past the loading screen for the tutorial...the loading bar gets halfway across the screen and then I get a CTD). This is really getting to me because there doesn't seem to be an issue until then (everything seems to run smoothly), so that would seem to eliminate a graphics card issue...and I know everything else should be up to the requirements (I've got 3 GB of ram, oodles of HD space, and an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU that runs at 2.8 Ghz). I...also have no way of reading the crash logs that've been generates.

These are the only two really "big" issues that i've experienced in demo:

1) I've deleted roads and houses by accident several times, but it doesn't look like you're suppose to do it though, since you can't actually build roads in first place. Im not sure whether deleting buildings reflects on city population or whether deleting roads affects traffic, but it certainly does ruin city appearance and car/bus flow.

2) Also you can't drop current mouse selection/building plan with the right mouse button, which is annoying and frustrating.

I did pre-order the game though and i hope that these issues will be resolved in full version of the game.

I was also wondering about game music. There are 4 cities in the full game and you get to play through the whole century, but does game music change accordingly (for example - waltz in 1920 Vienna and something techno in 2010 Berlin) or it just plays randomly?

Could you tell me what your graphic card is? The typical problem with the GPU pops up while loading a map. Could you also try to turn all the graphics settings off in the options panel in the main menu? Thanks for the feedback!

You're not supposed to be able to delete roads, we'll check this asap! Thanks for telling us :)

The music represents the time so it will change based on the era you're playing, like the citizens and the vehicles do.

I've play'd the games and its great,
But for some improvements and some realistic detail the follow could be added:

- Night time - so that it become dark
|- Night lines -> Like special routes for busses at night.

- City events -> So like New Year's eve on a place that u need to re-organise ur trams/busses for that day.

- Alternative routes -> if there is a accident or fire or a tram that broked down that u have a 2nd route so the transport still can be running
or if there are too much traffic that u can choose an alternative route for ur tram to go on and also the busses.

- Too improve the realistic its cool if u start at 1920 u still have the electricy cabel above the rail from the trams.

- It's also realistic if there happend accidents in the trams or busses (that u get a note telling what happend).

- Final thing too be realistic is if the goverment comes with idea's for ur public traffic or if there are maintance on the road so u need to change the route for some months.

Thanks for the feedback! We'll be looking into this. Could you help us by sending the log_metro.log file from your Windows user documents folder "Cities in Motion"? And if a file with the .dmp extension was generated, could you please send that as well.

Grrr I subscribed to this thread and it hasn't emailed me to let me know you replied! Thanks for the quick response; I narrowed down my problems to an overheating graphics card. I've turned the fan speed up and all of my problems have gone away :).

You are meant to be able to demolish buildings - which is why you are charged so much money to do so. The CiMfolk also hate it when you start tearing down their city. But there are probably times when it is worth tearing down a building to provide the space for, say, a complex interchange of tram, bus, and metro stops.

I thought there might be a simple workaround to the 'right-click doesn't do anything' bug/gripe/demand. I tried to assign right-click to 'Selection Tool', but the demo wouldn't let me, saying it was already assigned. But there's no use of right-click declared anywhere on the three tabs of assignable controls!

On the subject, it would be great if the Escape key could cancel whatever it is that you're halfway through doing (building a line etc). It is a Windows standard that the Escape key does this. The Esc key is one of the most convenient to reach on the keyboard, and the 'cancel-whatever-I'm-halfway-through-doing' event is one of the most frequent, while the 'I-need-to-see-the-game-menu' event is much less frequent and I'd say more suitable for some other key like F12. If I start building a metro line in the wrong place, all I can do is deliberately path it into a location it can't be built in, or longer than I can afford, so it cancels when I release left-click. That said, it didn't take me very long to figure this out. If any CO codesmiths have a spare afternoon, however...

Dang, changing things so you can save only works so far then my saves got corrupted. But I can't wait til release :(

As I've said before stations really should be connectable.
Also what would be good- some sort of 'view all/view none' button for the different modes of transport. Whenever I load up all the bus routes are showing and I have to click down through them one by one.

I had a weird bug pop up- random quest unemployed guy wanted a route from an apartment building to the motorway on the very edge of town. Nothing there and no way I could have done it as a bus couldn't turn around once it got there ( could have done trams or metros but...£££)

The lack of diagonal metro stations is also a pain, connecting up one level of the metro track to another is also rather random and hard.

(sounds like i'm just moaning non-stop here but seriously the game is seeming very good and I'll certainly be buying it within a few days of release)

i dunno if this has been mentioned by anyone already, i just trawled the thread and couldn't see anything,

I had 2 bus stations, 1 on either side of the road outside railway station,
both were really busy, and then all the passengers from one of them were picked up, but when i went to look at the stations, both had lots of people stood at them.

Either i should be allowed to charge these people to loiter at my bus stop if they aren't going to use my bus, or they weren't really there :)

Its perfect :) Always nice when developers remember about such details.

You are meant to be able to demolish buildings - which is why you are charged so much money to do so. The CiMfolk also hate it when you start tearing down their city. But there are probably times when it is worth tearing down a building to provide the space for, say, a complex interchange of tram, bus, and metro stops.

But what happens to city population when you delete buildings? Do they rebuild them somewhere else? Can you place buildings or can you cancel your last action at least? What if i click on building instead of metro station or bus stop by accident?

thought there might be a simple workaround to the 'right-click doesn't do anything' bug/gripe/demand. I tried to assign right-click to 'Selection Tool', but the demo wouldn't let me, saying it was already assigned. But there's no use of right-click declared anywhere on the three tabs of assignable controls!

I recall that some games use "space" or "esc" button like you mentioned, though right-click would be the simplest, in my opinion. Yes - i am lazy and having to move cursor all the way up, to de-select current plan is too much work for me :/

I also couldn't drop current citizen/clicked building/vehicle selection, unless i selected something else, so i would continue to hear noises from said vehicle or view it in the camera window.

The right-click on the mouse is used to change the direction of a station (metro, water bus, helicopter) and to cancel when building tracks. It's also used in the map editor as a secondary action for many tools.

It's not possible to accidentally delete buildings, you'll get a warning. It costs you money to delete the buildings, since the citizens aren't too happy if you destroy their homes.

Thx for explaining :) Was worrying since i ruined city couple of times, when i tried to delete lengthy tracks and deleted roads and several buildings along the way, on auto-pilot><

The right-click on the mouse is used to change the direction of a station (metro, water bus, helicopter) and to cancel when building tracks. It's also used in the map editor as a secondary action for many tools.

Perhaps it is possible to add "space" or "esc" button to clear the selection and drop building plans then? Or allow players to reassign buttons themselves from menu? I realize that this is a minor issue, but it would be so much faster and easier to have it :/

I have a Windows 7 32 bit box, and I installed my game on my D: drive.
