It is only a tutorial? :( I liked the sanbox very much in the open beta.

I haven't found any bugs yet, but i keep looking :)

I get why they only included Tutorial Town in the demo, it's supposed to be small download so more people get it and see the game. Most people won't bother downloading 1.5 GB demos just to see a game.

It's a shame that I don't see any interface fixes. No upgrade feature for stops without ruining entire line (or lines), can't increase all wages or all ticket prices at the same time, still need to click all those tine boxes.

Yeah... and I thought vehicles are keeping distance now? Someone of the Colossal crew said that in the feedback thread. But I don't see this feature in the demo.

I hope there will be the announced diary entry released soon, which shows the improvements to the beta, because I didn't found them yet :O

- Camera tutorial should tell player to unpause. I think a lot of people will get confused when trying to move camera around in the paused game and not having the mission complete.
- I think that tutorial where you are told how to take a loan should be before the tutorial asking to build subway. For two reason, one because player might overspend on tram tracks and two because in the actual campaign that's how you add a subway line.
- It'd be really nice if demo didn't end when you complete the tutorial and allowed for some period of free play in the Tutorial Town (aka Ulm) after it's finished.

I wrote these to this topic but I want to write here too.

http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?521783-Support-of-multi-core-CPUs

I have Intel Core 2 Quad 3.0 GHz, 4 GB RAM with Nvidia GTX 570 on Windows 7 64 Bit. I am running the game at 1920x1080 resolution with the max settings, game is running really slow (I am getting 12 - 20 FPS) when tranportation is becoming larger (and in larger cities). I tried lowering game's resolution but it doesn't affect game's performance. Also I lowered all settings still no high performance boost. I hope you will optimize the game after or before the release. My videocard and system is good but I think game has some optimization problems.

Edit: I am not a programmer but I think game renders all city realtime and it affects performance, it needs high GPU and CPU power. But maybe your programmers can make engine renders only the sight of the camera and doesn't render other city partitions. This will make run the game smoother. I saw this on other games like World in Conflict, RUSE and etc.

I am looking the FPS from FPS meter in game. Also I am playing the game on normal speed. I playing the game with 4x AA and 4x AF and as I said I am getting 15 - 20 FPS on covered sections of the city (I also turned off AA and AF and FPS is still the same). Maybe it is a Nvidia driver issue, I don't know. But game needs better optimization, I think. That is the only issue for me in the game.

Edit: Finally, I need to say Finland based companies are making graphics really great. For example Remedy, Futuremark and now we can add this Colossal Order too.

Hi everyone, I got worried about the feedback and checked Fileplanet. I'm so sorry I'm afraid you got the old demo made at the same time as the open beta build. So obviously there's none of the fixes we worked on after your feedback on the beta. I have already contacted Paradox and hopefully you'll get the latest demo asap.

I really appreciate your patience on this matter.

Are you testing us? ;-) "Would they still love us if we didn't fix anything? Let's check!"

Most certainly not ;)

I've just talked with Paradox and they have been in contact with Fileplanet, so let's see when the version 1-0-8 is there! We worked very hard to get part of the changes to the demo and hope that you all see those. For the rest of the polishing you'll have to wait until Tuesday since we we're still working on it today. I have been playing the campaign since yesterday without any sleep, so if you'll excuse me I'll hit the bed and get back to you tomorrow :)

Played through the 1.0.5 tutorial. First impression is quite good, especially about the way the city looks. Very real, very European.

The tutorial is very slowly paced, with a lot of "oh now I need to click the small green button again to see what I need to do next... oh now I will click OK to see what it asks to do next". I think the "next objective" windows should open on their own and there should be less clicking required to progress at every step.

Struggled with the subway, it didn't want to accept me having built it. Ran out of money laying subway tracks, had to figure out bank loans on my own before tutorial mentioned them.

Had to figure out switching between underground/normal modes on my own for laying the subway.

Tram and subway tracks are kinda finnicky, won't go where I want them (they just stay red despite me thinking it should be possible to lay them there).

It chose 2560x1600 which is my maximum resolution, but it kinda made the game a bit unresponsive. Since it was just a tutorial, I left it at that. I wonder if a lower resolution would have helped or not.

A bit disappointed there are no "real" trains to build; perhaps in an expansion.

I'm also not sure how the city develops over time (as this isn't a city building game - do houses get added over time?).

I wonder how much this was inspired by Mobility.

City expansion is scripted and happens slowly over time.
