Demo don't start

Hi all, I've this problem when I try to run the Demo, an error pop-up telling that the .exe file can't find MSVCP100.dll

I haven't installed Microsoft Visual C++ x86 as, by terms of licence, it isn't supported by Microsoft and I don't like the idea of have something potentially dangerous in my PC.

How can I solve this problem?

If you just want the .dll file, you can google "download MSVCP100.dll".

Not really sure why you feel that strongly about downloading the redistributable, but that might fix your problem. You'd put it in C:/Windows/System32 one you downloaded it, though I'm not 100% sure just putting it there would work without the rest of the files included.

I dont get the whole against stuff like this attitude.

Also like with Steam or Origin where people are paranoid that somehow Steam is going to hack their pc and make it work in a slave camp.

Best of luck but id assume to play the game, you need the files / programs required to play the game.

It's because the Microsoft Visual is released "as-is" and without support from Microsoft if it cause problems, that's because I don't like the idea of install it.

Steam is another thing, I've some games with Steam and never a problem.

Do NOT follow this advice. Never ever download individual .dll files and hope to solve your problems. Placing them beside the .exe do not supply the full installation that vcredist installation does.

What you want is to install: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=8328

It's safer and a lot less dangerous to your OS than downloading individual .dll files from random sites.

So you won't install the whole product as you fear it's unsupported by MS, but one DLL component of that SAME product from some random site ... that's OK with you?

Most license agreements state that the software is released "as-is". Don't be an idiot, just get the VC++ redistributable from Microsoft.

Yeah, right. I wouldn't recomend random google-dll's, too.

For the lulz:
Just putting a file in System32 wouldn't help anyway, IIRC you'd also need to use the "regsvr32" command ...
