Deleted Workshop assets also drop from game?

Is there any way of keeping assets if they drop from the Workshop?

I have noticed that when assets to which you are subscribed drop from the Workshop, they are also removed from your game. It is awful annoying. What is the point in subscribing to assets if they can vanish at any moment and you don't get to keep them?

well if it really bothers you that bad you can make copies of them after you subscribe. I doubt that many authors are just willy nilly removing their files though.

Thanks for that! But where would I put the copies?

Just today I've lost 2 parks and a marble arch. But I feel it isn't just developers we should worry about. The Workshop's T&Cs state that people must own the image rights to buildings they post. If they ever decide to enforce that, all of those well know landmarks may be deleted.

Take them from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\255710 (last part may be different number then mine not sure) find the folder of the one you want to copy or all of them. Then place them inside C:\Users\"YourCompName"\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Addons\Assets for asset files, and not in folders either, and for mods place in C:\Users\"YourCompName"\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Addons\Mods

Is the Marble Arch that little cool park with the straight columns asset too? If so that guy was having issues with a bug, I'm sure it will be back on the workshop sooon. I've been waiting for him to fix the bug.
