I accidentally deleted my prescripted_species_systems initializer and I cant find a way to get a new one short of reinstalling the entire game (with my dreadful internet, Im looking at days). So can anyone post an original copy for fools like me?

You could try verifying files, hopefully it won't reinstall the whole thing then. Also days for stellaris? I have terrible internet at home, and it only took me 3/4ths of a day at most... How bad are we talking!?
It cuts in and out so bad, i have trouble with MBs, let alone GB. Takes around a day for 500-600, because it just stops downloading.

), man that really does suck lol. thats worse then australian internet, and considering how infamous Australian internet is back to the problem, yeah just use verify files and it should just check and repair the files to the latest version.
If it doesn't work, did you completely delete the file? Or might it still be in your recycle bin?
i deleted it totally. I was making my own custom star system from a blank slate, (already backed up every thing) but it had the same name as the original. Long story short i over writ it with my blank one on accident -_-
and im currently not sure if its working. Completion percent hasn't really moved at all much on the validating thing.
I mean, given your internet, probably gonna take an hour or two at least.
Steam library; right click stellaris -> properties -> local files -> "Verify Integrity of game files".
Verification should be fairly quick as it checks all files on your computer. Once it finds a file or files missing it'll only download those. Shouldn't take any time at all.
If that didn't work, go to wherever steam installs your games ..\SteamApps\common\Stellaris and there delete the stellaris.exe
Then do the above step again. This way you force the game to initiate a download of missing files. I found in weird cases of the file integrity checker not working this did the trick.
