Delete a saved game

Okay, this is a little embarassing, but how do I erase a saved game? There isn´t a "delete buton" in the scenario menu. How do I delete a game? I have about 20 saved games and I want to delete some

The only way to delete your savegames is to delete the .eug and eug.cfg files in the save game folder.

You have to delete the files manually. There is no delete feature in-game. Each save game has two files.

You also can delete the Cfg file with the same name. Yeah I wish you could do it from In game simply beacuse the save files are 8+ MB's

I know that's not much compared to a 30+ GB hardrive but still.

When you find the saves folder (search for autosave or the name of the saved game), move up one directory and right click on the saves folder. Then choose send to the desktop (create a shortcut) and you will have an icon on your desktop that makes it easy to find and delete any saved games.

Perhaps something to wish for HOI2? It does feel kinda silly that they do not have this feature already... deleting save game files should be possible!

Just create a shortcut to your data base on your desk top. Easy access and to'manipulate' games.

Yes I already have all kinds of shortcuts, but a basic feature such as being able to delete previous saves should be part of the game,not something that you should be forced to do outside the game. Especially in a game such as HOI where you might keep a lot of saves.

Amen to that. Deletion of saved games and perhaps some more meta data in the user dialogue would be nice. Manual tinkering from outside the game may result in big misstakes. Not all HOI gamers are experienced computer users.

Something for HOI 2 I guess...
