Sorry if its kinda re-post but it would be great to delay the release and work on ideas above,

Plus i have few more as following

- Water Pump from the ground -
- Timer and speeds - In alpha version i saw that one TICK is one day in the game (where 1 tick takes about 3 seconds) That is too fast. Please change it to Hourly ticks. The reason

3 seconds (real time) = 1 Day (game time)
1 hour (real time) = 1200 Days / 3+ years (game time)
which means if we count 60 years as an average age , a person will be born and than die within 18 hours of game play

I don't think the reasons you've given for there to be a delay are warranted. All of those things are DLC/MOD/after releaseables. If they were to delay at this point it'd probably be because there are major bugs. However if we are to dream I'd hope they delay and fix the airports/farms and add in game terraforming.

Nope, no delays. We are perfectly satisfied with where we are and where we'll end up by release day. Delaying would, as many have mentioned here, cost us ridiculous amounts of money and isn't feasible for a mid sized published working with a small studio. We don't have the spending money of some of the larger places that can just throw around millions for the heck of it ^_^

Also, the faster we get to market the faster we can hear what you think of the game and what needs to be added. Keep in mind we're going with the PDS strategy of adding loads of free content on top of the paid expansions.

I, for one, am glad. There will always be something more you could improve upon, but if you did that, the game would never be released. The game looks great and releasable, and I have no problem paying for additional features that comes later. C.O. deserves it. :)

Did you not read Post #33 in the thread? A delay is not going to happen as it is not a financially viable option!!!

I've seen you post this a few times. This seems horribly slow if you want to model real construction times. Assuming it takes 6 months to a year to build a building (and this is probably fast) once something is zoned then in the game it will take about 10-20 minutes to get buildings built. Your suggestion slows things down by a factor of 24. This would put building construction at 3 to 6 hours. That's a lot of sitting around.

I think 60 years of time taking 18 hours in game (assuming you never pause) is more then long enough.

Agree this would be slow if it was the only speed. However you make this "Turtle" speed and then you can go faster with "Lhama" and "Cheetah". I like the idea of the game having a nice slow time for just looking around and thinking while the game runs. Then if you build somethings you can click the speed up a little to get them filled in.

Since this game uses an agent based simulation instead of a statistical one, as soon as you increase the game speed, that means everything else does, ie cars start driving around really fast. It also means that your computer will have to process information much faster, so if there is a very large difference between the slowest and the fastest speed, chances are your computer will struggle at the highest speed. This is part of the reason why I'm glad they didn't make the slowest speed too slow. Not only that, I also like to just look around the city and follow cars around. Ideally, I'd like to still be making a decent amount of money and have buildings constructing at a reasonable speed while I do this. If while waiting for cash to come in or for buildings to build, I have to speed up the game to a point where everything is moving around too fast to watch, that doesn't sound very fun to me.

I agree with DEY123 that 60 years of game time taking ~18 hours in game is more than long enough.

Only 8 Weeks and few days until Q1 2015 ends so we need a date :D

As long it is released before end of Q2, and is in good working order, i am not bothered when it is released. As long as it does get released so i can play the game.

And i bet they have a release date, and it is written on a white board on a wall somewhere, and they do not want us to know, to keep us squirming in anticipation for it.

I think Additional Services/Plopables and small things like bikes can be come with a updates...
Building Variety is more a modders thing.

We want play the game, if the simulation is working that is the most important thing, the "extra" is "extra".
If we need wait for all real city things in game before the realse we never gonna see the game realsed.

Exactly. While I'd love to see trams implemented as nothing more than an extra way to carry citizens around and add urban development factors, I'd still rather purchase the vanilla game now and purchase a DLC for trams later than wait for such a small feature to be included (especially since this is a city-building game). The most important thing is that the game works, and as an Accounting major I agree that it's better to release the game and begin recouping those costs. They have expenses to pay, and their creditors would prefer payment now, not later.

I agree here. I think a lot of us want a solid core game with the right hooks for mods. Many of us are so starved for a GOOD SC4 follow-up, that we will pay a hefty price in DLC content to support the devs (if the core game is solid)

I'd love it if they didn't announce the date beforehand, and one day we just woke up and it was *there* on steam.
