I have controlled the Duchy of Flanders since 917.The last county I obtained was Yperen which I got in 1169.How is the Duchy of Flanders is still a DeJure part of the Kingdom of France when it is now 1278.The Kingdom of France is an elective monarchy which I just usurped.Now the inheritor will not only get France but Flanders and all of its counties as well.He is a Duke with no holdings in France .Should I give the Kingdom of France as a Viceroyalty to one of my French Dukes?It is an iron man save by the way so i only have one chance to fix it.

Did you ever control the Duchy title? If not, it won't drift.

Another thing to consider is that titles only drift into your PRIMARY title. If you are an Empire, well Duchies only drift into Kingdoms so you'd need to transfer the Duke to a vassal King that you want to drift Flanders into.

The Duchy is mine I have also been the King of Brittany since before I created the duchy of Flanders.The Empire of Brittany is my primary title.However the Kingdom was my primary title before forming the empire.

In that case, the de-jure drift will stop occurring.

I had a similar situation, duchy of Alsace (Lotharingia), was drifting into my France Kingdom, but upon creation of the France Empire, the drift stopped.

Yes but you're an Emperor now, so the Duchy will NOT drift.

Assuming you can't get control of the vote in some way, you could also try to change the succesion laws there, if can afford making some angry vassals.

My current heir is six so I'm screwed on the vote and I'm at war saw no law change.I'm afraid my guy will randomly die and I'll lose flanders.
