Today:
A very active session running from oct 1940 to sep 1941. The US liberated the entire pacific except Japanese mainislands and UK pushed Japan back to China liberating Burma and Malaya. South africa liberated Ethiopia and UK Libya. Some diplomatic squabbeling went on in South America without no result. Germany attacked Russia and captured first Leningrad and then Stalingrad nearly encircling Moscow. US and Canada landed in Western France but pulled out when strong mobile German forces were ready to counterattack. A suprise attack was launched against Hamburg and Denmark shortly after this capturing Berlin and Copenhagen where US tried to put up a stand. High quality German formations routed the US and the beachhead is now quite small even though the latest attacks were repulsed. Italy and the UK with allies are involved in heavy fighting in Turkey with the UK advancing slowly. The UK also defeated the IJN outside Tokyo but Japan recaptured lots of islands while the US was busy in Europe.
Japan is somewhat pushed back and the allies enjoys superiority at sea but Russia seem to be hard pressed by massive German armoured formations. Both sides have recevied heavy casaulties in the last years fighting. Bad weather is coming but the next year might be decisive for the outcome of the war.

I will continue with my supershort updates of whats going on. Screenshots of Europe would be very nice at this time since it looks very interesting.

French forces around Paris were encircled and captured. US landed in the Pyréenes and cut of the road to Spain, Germany reopened it but Spain is now in the hands of the Republican government. UK landed in Rome with large forces. The axis won the race to Bologna but the southern part of the Italian soon fell to the allies. A further landing in Thessaloniki doomed the Italians in Turkey and soon Greece and south Yugoslavia was liberated. UK annexed Rumania. The Russian front seems fairly stable running from the Black sea through Stalingrad, Moscow to Archangelsk. Japan sallied with the IJN and severely damaged the US navy. Royal navy still keeps IJN blockaded in mainland japan. These are the main events as I remember them.
With Italy almost out of the war Germany finds herself in a though position fighting on multiple fronts; Spain, Italy, Balkans and in Russia. Japan still keeps China and her main islands. The upcoming summer of 1942 will probably see some decisive operations.

I vote for continuing. Not that I will have a blast maybe but we tend to finish games very early and want to stop that trend.
I agree with Aldo that we should try to be bit more persistent maybe. I easily give up when things don't go my way I admit. After all the game shouldnt be over until 1945. Ill be there 21.30 with both 1.05b and 1.05c available.

Bad, Bad planning by naughty naughty players! I forgive you...barely. Next session is thursday. All players hould announce if the can play or not. We have some options of how to play then:
1. Continuation of DEG 7 with 1.05b at 21.30
2. Start of DEG 8 at 21.30 including poor Jan who currently is sick from eating rotten fish.
3. Start at 18.00 of DEG 8 with/without Jan who is too weak to go to bandypractice or simply cant make it at all.

It looks like a 5 vs. 3 setup. I could play France (not very attracted to UK) but will we continue play 5 vs. 3 after the probable fall of France?
If Tuutu won't make it Thursday I'm second on US.
Worst case I could play Romania if we want a 4 vs. 4 setup.

Concerning which days/times to play in the future:
As it is now, we have regular sessions on Mondays and Thursdays from 21:30. I personally think this is too late to start, and it would therefor be better if we could play on other days. From next week and onward, I suggest we have our main session on Wednesdays from 18:00, and also play either Monday or Thursday in addition to this.
Is Wednesday from 18:00 a suitable time for all?
