Another example of unjustified bullying of small nations (Venice, Holland...) coming from England.

In any case, all dealings are confidential: England doesn't need to know and has no business interfering on the free market.

1 - it is my business because those ships you want are intended for me
2 - it is ironic you speak of the free market when you supports venice embargo. In fact you are even willing to fight massive expensive war to defend his protectionism. Englands COTs are open to all - even enemies.. Venice singled out england for banning however.

Spain does not support Venice's embargo. In fact, we made it clear to Venice that he has to lift it. If it hasn't been so far, let it be clear now. But we cannot let a powerful country extort several years of income from a smaller ally, when the reason for the offense no longer exists. England didn't lose any money out of pocket. It was simply a potential profit loss. Moreover, Venice didn't gain all the money that England claims as lost profit, so he could never pay for it.

As for the ships, England, not Spain is the warmonger. We claim, seek or ask nothing from England. The ships are meant as a long-term investment to discourage aggressors. Though Spain is a peaceful giant, many countries look greedily upon us.

Venice chooses alternative one (two generals).

Venice totally agrees with Spain, and she has already offered to lift her trade embargo of English merchants. As stated before, no compensation can be paid to England. The reasons are:
1) England has, believe it or not, never complained for being embargoed by Venice until recently. In fact, they refused an offer from Venice about lifting the embargo in exchange for England's promise of "trading softly" in Venice
2) Venice does not have the economical resources to pay such a tribute
3) We do not believe England has suffered any economical losses due to our embargo, since she was able to send her merchants elsewhere instead

I am awfully sorry, but I did unfortunately forget the whole thing... It is my birthday today, and my father wanted us to go out and eat, and so we did, and now I am here... I should, of course, have announced it before game was supposed to begin, but, as stated before, I just forgot ... Maybe it is better that I from now on start playing as a sub, because I think that things like this may happen again (I am a busy guy, and if we have a lot of work at school ...)

Again: Sorry. I hope I did not ruin your session.

Gack.

Well, and I am even more sorry for having to realise that there will be no more EU2 MP for me this year (except for in the holidays, maybe  ). I have simply too much to do.

There is unfortunately not much more to say, other than that I want to seize the opportunity to thank you for a wonderful game.

I do also want to wish you good luck on the long road till 1819. Have fun, guys! ;)

Gack.

that means Venice will be vassalized again. well, if someone claims it in time, it can be played.

Btw guys, I'll have to leave my Gm's duties for a while, 2 weeks at least, since I have exams and I can't pay so much attention to the threads. IF someone can take those duties for 2 weeks I'll be very thankful.

In any case I'll play every session as always.
