Default AI?

Is there somekind of default AI file for those nations wich dont have their own?
I found Minor_Build_Standard_1.ai..-6 but im not sure how these work (wich one i should use?).

Yes there is- just called default IIRC...and its a waste of time.

default.ai for ENG, FRA, GER, ITA, JAP, SOV and USA, minor_default.ai for all other tags.
Note that for some unfathomable reason these are not used as fillers for missing entries in specific AI files, instead some hardcoded defaults are used.

minor_default.ai for minor nations (IIRC less than 5 VP)
default.ai for other nations, not just the 7 majors. Scandinavia will use the default.ai (and build more than just vanilla infantry) instead of the minor_default.ai.

NOTE: There is a fully hardcoded default AI, having no dependance on any ai file including the defaults. And Wobbler those settings I think, are what you are finding filling the gaps.

In the beginning HOI1 there were no ai files.

Not 100% sure myself, just passing along what other (more knowledgeable than myself) people have stated.

Most of the puppets that I release have AI's defined for them (i.e., Croatia, Slovakia, any nation previously annexed) and will load that ai instead of the default.ai or minor_default.ai
