Funny thing is those european buildings look actually better than the ones from the european DLC I think...

And the cars look better than ours too :(
CiM1 looks really nice for sure, so the same buildings look a bit better there. But the engine had it's limitations, so I think this might have been a compromise that was worth doing it.

CiM1 looks really nice for sure, so the same buildings look a bit better there. But the engine had it's limitations, so I think this might have been a compromise that was worth doing it.

I don't really think about the engine (CSL's engine is quite limited yeah... for the most in the Anti-aliasing part, damn it hurts)... I really don't like some of the aesthetics choices that were made (weird colors) and "additions" that make no sense (solar panels on the roofs everywhere). I was actually very decieved by the european update :(

Well, I just know that the graphics look worse since CiM2 when they switched to using Unity.

*Bump* Sorry to bump through, but I've stumbled across this thread and since the last response about the beloved and wished tool is a couple of months old, I just wanted to very kindly ask if there is any news whatsoever regarding an implementation of said tool.
I normally don't speak that formally, but just asking if it's planned or unsure or scrapped. I would love such an update and it would actually make me want to play the game again.

We don't have plans to add in more decoration tools, but there are a few mods that are doing a pretty amazing job. Try checking these out:

You are either lying or you don't realize how cool it would be to have a small texture brush feature to make the city center more urban :)

I gave up on the ploppable concrete brushes since they're a pain to use. You can't even fill everything with them and the More Beautification Mod is quite good, but glitchy and I'm missing a couple of submenus.

The concret ploppables are a great workaround. But it only shows what is missing. It was even asked for Cities in Motion2 that you need a tool to fill the gaps with concrete. It was an unheard scream. Too bad.
