In CK II you can imprison and torture people in various ways, or have them executed or banished from the realm. However, one of the most common outcomes was for a rival claimant to be tonsured (have their head shaved like a monk) and be sent to a monastery, and this isn't represented. I think it should be in CK III, and it shouldn't be difficult to implement. It need only be a basic decision with certain criteria.
If you are a king-tier character or above and imprison a character who has a claim on one or more of your king-tier (or above) titles, you should be able to select the option of tonsuring them - this will make them hate you, remove their claims on your titles, and give them the Monk trait, before releasing them. It could also give them a monk-style haircut with a bald patch at the back (if you're ever able to see that in game) which would be a nice physical thing for the new 3D portraits.
There are plenty of examples of rival claimants being tonsured and declared ineligible for kingship, with one of the most famous being Childeric III, the last Merovingian, who had his long hair cut off before being banished to a monastery so that Pepin was free to claim the throne.
I think this would be a fun addition to the game - it's simple to add, historical, and allows for a rare non-lethal alternative to dealing with rival claimants. It could perhaps be dependent on your character having certain traits or a required level of piety (I don't know how the new skill trees will function) but is more historically plausible than simply executing or assassinating everyone you know with a claim on your throne. It would also make sense for children, so they are raised as monks rather than being forced to die in a dungeon. It's also not something that you would see happen too much as it would only apply to characters who are your prisoner and have strong claims on a kingdom or empire title you hold (so won't occur for counts or dukes).
