I actually mentioned this several times in my Let's Play. The damn thing irritates me, because I understand why it's there, but most of the messages are absolutely useless and way to frequent. They acted like the feature was so essential to the game, but I find myself ignoring it most of the time because it's so damned useless at the moment lol. The noise it makes to is unbearable as well because there are to many messages.

If you are going to give me pop ups on what is going on in the city, make the messages useful and don't repeat it 100 times.

Good idea, very bad implementation. That is my thoughts on it.

Agreed, it's a good idea but the implementation needs work. Hopefully this will be fixed, because I think everyone is tired of all the cats being saved and the keys being under the flower pot. I will keep using Chirpie as long as there are mostly useful bits of info in there instead of all the "funny" but useless noise.

Now that I've played a bit, I tend to ignore him... and I don't bother reading the messages. Doesn't matter to me one way or the other- even the placement.
I do wish the messages had more relevance or they gave more important information. In other words, a reason to pay attention to him- then maybe I might.

The bird is a PIA, it's sometimes useful, but it gets in the way and is full of guff all too often. What I need is a way to move it to where I want, remove a chunk of the chrome it has and get it to only tell me important things.

I disabled Chirper as well and funny how Mariina Hallikaine wore a shirt on her interview with the chirper saying "Give me a chance!" lol The idea of Chirper isn't bad, but its messages are kind of useless. It becomes repetitive to the point where it becomes annoying.

A real bird flies around the city, so one can assume that a bird spots things. Would be nice if chirper reminded players about stuff like a road is connected wrong or there's too many deaths, or some buildings aren't getting water and power, and traffic problems. And it should also contain a link to show the problem area, just like how SimCity 4 had those advisors complaining at you. Those are better messages in my opinion.

I really dont even notice/hear it when im focused on my city, but every now and then I read what it says, and there are some pretty funny references so its not too bad

I agree. A few times it's popped up a message just as I was about to build something, but I've learned not to build where the chirper is by moving slightly to the side of it.
