Bought via GamersGate, v.1.1, running Vista. No evident system compatibility issues (both in reference to the specs, and that game seems to operate perfectly throughout first game year).
However . . . instant CTD always. Not random. Repeatable regardless of start-up selection (scenario, "flavor", country, etc.) or player actions--even if I let it run and just dismiss pop-ups.
End of year 1, instant and clean failure, always. What up?
P.S. Beats EUII in a way! Then CTDs were always gummy, violent and somewhat random things. Constant aggravation getting through the first century. Mild aggro thereafter. Until the 1700's, when CTD became multi-year event. Never coaxed a game past 1730-something (years ago and on a different 'puter, mind) But why I'd buy a Paradox game again? Fan/Fool/Masochist? IDK
