The troubleshooting page of the wiki often recommends looking at the files in the "logs" folder. HIP has it's own folder but it only generates one file, while vanilla generates almost 20.

Is there a way to for HIP to generate these files or to get the debugging information they provide? Specifically I am interested in the setup.log file.

So quick to appear to show unquestionable agressive pride when a HIP inaccuracy is friendly pointed out, yet so slow to help fix technical problems of your mod...

I think HIP is something to be quite proud of, however you may be channeling it wrong...

Oh, uh, when you run the game with HIP, all of those "vanilla" logs are just HIP logs. I don't know why they made submods that make their own folders get their own log folder which is only actually used for one log, but yeah.

I also recommend launching with the -scriptlog option; a great deal of effort has been made to log effectively every significant effect that our scripting does, which will help with debugging greatly.

Thanks :), I will look at "vanilla" files and the scriptlog thing.

Specifically, my problem is that loading any submod with dependencies on HIP (even "empty" mods) results in a CTD on "loading databases". So If you have any idea on what may be happening that would be really appreciated. Still, seeing as how this seems to be quite an unique problem with not many precedents on the Internet I will try to fix it myself

EDIT: problem fixed. Thank you very much. Iberian submod on the way :)
