Once and a while my "deaths per week" spike up by 3 or 4 times (say from 100 to 400). It goes higher then the birth rate. For no apparent reason, people just start dropping dead. Soon there are corpses all over my city and population has dropped by 25%. My cemeteries and crematoriums are quickly overwhelmed. It takes years to recover.... Then a few years later, it happens again....

What's with this invisible plague that continually hits my city? It needs to be fixed.

It seems that people who move in to the city at the same time also die at the same time. So if you create large residential zones suddenly, then you will have a large number of people moving in in a short period of time and thus will end up having a lot of dead people in a short period of time. It will even out eventually.

Would be nice though if the people would die at more random intervals. :)

This is not something to be fixed by modders, as far as I'm concerned this is a serious "bug" or at the least, a serious "issue". There is no reason why 25% of the population of a city would suddenly drop dead for no reason.

It's not realistic, it's not fun.

Please fix this "bug".
Well, CO hasnt adress this issue yet, so it will be much faster if some modder look at this and repair this until the patch will be released;)

Actually I see now that there are mods out now that slow death rates by 1/2, 1/4 and even 1/16th. They say it has a negative effect on education though.

The more I experience these 'death waves' the more I realize what a serious flaw it is.

Yeah I know about these mods, but it would be better if someone figure out how to add more randomness factor about when cims dying.
