I'm playing as the King of Scotland. I discovered a plot of the Duke of Galloway to lower crown authority, I attempt to imprison him, but he revolts. As I'm sieging his capital he dies, his son succeeds him, the war ends, but they do not rejoin my realm; his son is now the independent Duke of Galloway and The Isles and I have no claim to bring him back into the kingdom. Am I correct in assuming this is a bug?

sounds like a fluke - I usually assassinate my revolting vassals to just end the war quickly and they've never left my realm before - The only thing I can think of is their heir may of been a member of another Kingdom or something.

I'm pretty sure he wasn't. He was an independent ruler; he wasn't a vassal of anyone else.

After that fiasco the game took a turn for the worse. I pressed a courtier's claim on one of the Duke's counties but as soon as I did the Duchess of York, who controlled most of England, pressed her claim on the Duchy of Lothian. Maybe if Scotland was in one piece I could've fended off her 9000 strong army but as it was Scotland is now a shell of it's former glory. Poor King Neil.
