I think this has been mentioned before. Ever since HoD comes around, there seems to be a dearth of rubber starting from 1890-Game End. So much so, that it is nearly impossible to build Tanks. Worse, if you have a liberal government, those tanks factories will go bankrupt and get closed down before even a single tank roll out.

I even tried stockpiling 2000 rubber since 1880's but even though my inventories are full, the factories seemed to not be able to buy from it. I read on another post that factories cannot buy from your inventories, but this makes it ridiculous. They can't buy from world market because of the shortage, at least they should be able to buy from me, since I'm hoarding the rubber. Heck I pretty much OWN Africa as German Empire, colonized everything from Ivory Coast into Congo and Transvaal, just missing south Africa. Also I have Brazil and most rubber producing nations in my sphere...

Please help...

you buying up all the rubber in the world even increases your problem. Since goverment gets priority over your internal market.
You could try to sell the rubber in about the ammounts your county uses up.

WHen you already own most of the rubber producing goods, your country gets priority on those goods. And well your goverment gets priority on those and no factory gets any of that stuff and have to try to buy from the world market if there is anithing left after your goverment tries to buy
So look into how much you produce and maybe increase those ammounts.

Isn't that a side effect of no migration to the colonies, basically the rgo's are unmanned thus no production. I am currently playing France and have almost entire Africa in my pocket but there is no migration to africa if anything 1-2k pops move to usa and that's it i even had a gold rush and nothing happened in that province. Maybe i am being to nice to my pops and overproviding for them or something but that should not completely kill migration because there would be those seeking new opportunities for financial gain.

I had the same problem as (greater) Germany, but eventually got somewhere (1-2 tank factories total, only, but still some). Of course I had oodles of infamy and thereby very high conciousness pops making for somewhat good migration, and I had a buy order for 2k tanks for years before any got produced.

You might be trying to get armor production going too early industry technology-wise?

Or maybe your rubber is being all used already by aeroplane, automobile or electric gear factories of which especially the two latter could be actually profitable?

Shouldn't Barrel factories produce automobiles or so in peacetime to allow them to build up?

Or you could just make tank units using automobile parts instead of barrels (plus some other goods like artillery ofc). Dedicated tank companies aren't a very realistic thing, as all tank producers just did it on the side (being car, tractor, steel producers primarily). Maybe the requirement of a separate good (barrels) to build tanks is a gameplay choice - to prevent countries building too much - but otherwise it's a change long overdue.

Just curious how people manage with this rubber shortage as I got 3 electric gear factories (100% of world suply) 2 automobile factories (~30% of world suply), 2 airplane factories (100% of world supply) and 2 barrel factories (100% of world supply) and whole worlds rubber supply is not even half of what these 9 factories would demand. As some ofher countries have allso automobile factories I think rubber production is way way too low in hod currently never had this big issue with rubber before hod.

I just find it silly that with 9 factories I can easily greate double demand compared to entire wolrds end game supply of rubber that keeps ai allmoust totally out of making competing factories only thing they got rubber withing their reach was few automobile factories.

And this with Scandinavia factories being in sweden and denmark that doesnt have huge population for super big factories.

Hmm playing as Austria, then France I had no problems building my tank army. With Austria I was able to have 3 x 4 Tank armored divisons and 1 tank brigades in my 10 biggest armies for a total of around 20-25 tank brigades. I had 3 tank factories and no oversea territories, so rubber supplies came from the world market.

Game with France was earlier so I have not tne numbers in mind, but I have begun another game with France and am at the 1880s, so, soon I will be able to give you more maths.

The easiest solution to the problem would be to add a synthetic rubber plant that allows to create small amounts of rubber to at least statisfy the basic needs of the market.

Or you can invest in a country of your sphere, even LF countries can foreign invest. If your tank order is already passed when the factory is build it won't bankrupt immediately and if it is in your sphere it should have the resources. Kinda clumsy though to have a small barely civilized nation build your mighty tanls
