I have been playing a few of your games, Hoi3 and Victoria which a purchased from a friend. and ck2 which am planning to buy this week once i get my pay.. The Aztec DLC does look
nice. Its an out of the box thinking, personally its alternate history and not fantasy. Aztecs where as much humans as we were and they would have come here given if they developed differently.

Please do not be afraid of trying something new and something different just because of a few misplaced angry comments(which honestly looks like a bunch of kids crying at a candy store).

To the ck2 community

IF you don't want to buy it, then don't buy it, Paradox is not forcing you to buy it.. So stop b****ing about it so much.Paradox has shown time and again that they are a great game developer and the only game developer which makes complex strategy games and not dumbing everything down like we see everywhere else...

soo Harden the f**k up...

Actually it is a rant thread. You are complaining about complainers, and even not in civil manner. Sigh. Amounts of similar threads is surprising.

might not be civil, but i feel necessary.. the community response of some members is just ridicules .

Sometimes it is better not to insult others if they got other opinion. And trust me, there were enough insults even without your thread.

P.s. Just saying, it is fantasy. Even Paradox have tagged it as such, there is no point in proving it otherwise.

I look at it simply; the most time-consuming thing for PDS is the programming and development of new features. The event-writers and artists are meanwhile not really creating as much. It makes sense to keep them busy with fluff content that makes PI some money they can use to keep improving the game. As many have said, PI isn't forcing you to buy the DLC, and you will still get the updated patch with it's associated bug fixes and new content. If you do choose to buy the DLC, it's not a permanent feature of the game, but rather something you can turn on and off. I personally look forward to more such things, as it will expand the CK brand to a much larger audience as well as provide more funding for future development of the franchise, with you still being able to choose what type of game you actually want to play.

You're such a terrible guy. Why do you complain about people who disagree with that DLC ?
It's not like "if you don't want it don't buy it". I thinking more far than this. I complained about that DLC for the reason that if they take this as an habit it's not cool. We do like paradox for historical accuracy and things that could have happened. If they take this as habit .. making DLC about crazy unrealistic stuff INSTEAD of doing thing that are usualy asked, we can say that we are not agree with that.
So, it's our opinion, we can tell it to PARADOX, furthermore they listen to us, so we can try.
Don't be silly and try to understand everyone instead of threading this.

Personally, I just hope this DLC gives the hope that the non-europeans in the next version of EU4 don't have to be automatically railroaded, but may actually given some respect as people. But other than that, I think my rant is not that they made it, but when there are still other games that need finishing with patches etc (Rome, EU3, CK1 :eek:o) why take the time to make a fantasy DLC about aztecs for a game that doesn't cover the whole world? Why not give balance to EU3 to let the aztecs get some tech abilities, to let us actually play as first peoples and win. Just a thought. I'll leave it to others to civilly discuss.

I think people are getting up in a piff because people are "threatening to boycott Paradox" and saying shit like "I hope Paradox loses out big on this." That sets a negative tone to people that don't like the DLC.

Personally, I think it's fine -- whatever side of the fence you sit on. Don't want the funny stuff? Alright, don't buy it :). I, for one, welcome our new Aztec overlords.

I don't want Paradox to recede from history like this. Because if they do this ONE time that means that they can do it once again..
We're just telling that !

Yess am terrible.. evilll human being :p

I don't have a problem if someone gives constructive criticism, or does not agree with it . But one should stop acting too such extreemes just coz of a $5 DLC...

Fantasy DLC ? they did not make a DLC on orcs or goblins attacking Europe did they ? if you think Aztecs attacking Europe is Fantasy then anything Ahistorical can be counted as fantasy. If mongol invasion never happened , it would have counted as fantasy as well ? People play paradox games to create alternate history if that means invading Russia/USA as Germany in HOI3 ,IF it means Japan invading america.. so be it.. Aztecs were human beings too, it is entirely historically possible for them discover Europe just like Europe discovered america if they had developed a bit differently. I honestly like the new approach. If i don't like a game or DLC , i don't usually buy it but i never go to their forums and get all angry about something so minuscule as a $5 DLC.. Telling paradox why ur not buying is fine, but getting all angry and soo much rage ..cmon people..

Again, why do you feel the need to create a thread to "correct" other people's opinions? What is this going to accomplish besides getting a handful of people to agree with you that a nebulous group of people that have an opinion different from your own are 'wrong'? You are no better than the people you complain about, in fact, you are worse because at least they are complaining about something besides other people complaining.

There is a difference between alt. history and fantasy, was explained a lot in SI thread.

And again, it is a fantasy DLC, developers themselves are naming it like this, no point try to prove it wrong.

And all this over-exaggeration about "rage" is very ironical.
