but i don't wanna to create ground transportation system (buses, trams and trolleybus), i wanna making only subway systems, because other ground transportation system will be very bad for performance even for 8x8 map of course... so, maybe its still possible making maps bigger than 8x8?

I think there is enought space to build nice metro/underground routes. If you want to have more than 8 km² you can scale your city down and build stations a little closer. The citisens pathfinding is a little annoying at the moment, you know. Increasing the map will surely make pathfinding much more complex to calculate. Maps got already much larger as in CiM. And there a still People crying for more m². (Btw: from 8x8 to 16x16 it is an increasement by 4, so also map-filesize will increase from around 60MB to around 240 MB each map ...)

So it is better CO is going on to improve quality instead of quantity ;)

I say the current map is fine. You can easily make it seem like 10x10 or even 12x12 anyway. :) Except maybe with Portland or other tricky places with very small grids. :)

I think no one would say no to more space, but I think they did a great job with what we have. The map is huge and can hold 2-3 medium-sized cities and several villages or one giant city.

The problem is that too many people have old computers that are not suitable for gaming. If CO raised the bar many people wouldn't be able to play and purchases could be limited. If society could be convinced to have computers no older than two years with moderats specs at the time of purchase then games could be better -but that's asking for the impossible.

Then you could have a choice, with a warning, just like the citizen-setting in the rule editor. Besides, I find that it is not the size of the map that slows down my computer, but how much things I put in it. I am working with a project now to fill the whole map with one huge city. In the beginning, when I put the map into sandbox mode the game went smooth, but now it is quite slow.

ok, so, maybe, is it possible to make something like aglomeration addon in a future? - area consist of several 8x8 maps, and gamer playing in one map, and others cities are "frozen", but gamer can build transportation there and enter at other city and the last city (graphic animation) became frozen (sorry for bad english), and it will give possibility to build a long-distance transport and airways.

Thanks for the suggestion, this would indeed work instead of one huge map. However this feature is quite a lot of work to do and unfortunately impossible for us at the moment. But let's see what we can do in the future :)

And as it has been said before, unfortunately we will not be increasing the map size of Cities in Motion 2 due to technical limitations. I hope you can still enjoy the maps!

If this happens in the future, it would be the best thing ever.
