My tributary Ayutthaya allied with my rival Ming. First there's a couple of bugs, I declared war against Ming and while it showed a red X next to my tributary he still joined in the defense and I lost him (hovering over the X actually says that he will join). Then to make matters worse, the option to enforce him as a tributary again is greyed out even though there's enough war score. The reason given doesn't make sense but it's probably related to the first bug. So I white-peaced Ayutthaya and now he allied another tributary of mine which I'll lose the same way if I declare. I can't Break Alliance because he's a subject. So what's the best way to deal with this kind of situation. Are there any tricks?

I feel the same.

I just don't see how its fair Ming will defend its Tributaries. Like, Koch in my current game is a Tributary of Ming, this small nation yet nobody can attack it because its invulnerable. I really don't wanna fight Ming's entire army, because it feels they need to defend a minor nomadic fort a thousand miles away from their capitol.

I really wish this game had some specific CB's that tailored right, would limit how much "Manpower" you can funnel into conflicts like Condottieri alongside where the fighting can take place.

Like Colonial CB's can only be fought in, colonial areas, with Condottieri-feature supplied troops except from your own nation. So Ming could protect its Tributaries when they have their Reconquest-CB, except, they can only yield 1/12 of their total Land Force Limit.

Insane they haven't fixed this yet, should get money back on Mandate of Heaven for Ming playability still being totally broken. Playing Ming now is 80% being gamey and exploiting, rather than a fun strategy session.
