Started a game as Xenophile eglaritarian, and right next door was a similiar ethics primitive civ which I promptly elnightened and integrated.

However their homeworld had the Dead God special, which gives +200% Spiritualist Attraction. Now I have a small and growing Spiritualist faction.... I dont really care for them, was planing on doing bio ascension but if they continue to grow I may have to embrace them and do psionic instead.

Any way to get rid of this? Like if I turn the planet into Ecumenopolis, will it go away?

Terraforming doesn't remove modifiers, so I don't think you can do anything.
It's just one planet, can't you ignore it? Otherwise there's always the nuclear option of abandoning the planet altogether...

Gods are hard to kill, even after they die.

You could turn everyone into synths to staunch the spiritualism.

Terraforming does in fact remove certain modifiers, and transforming a planet into an Ecumenopolis will do so to even more...

But not this one. If you read the description, it's the titanic carcass of a dead alien in orbit of the planet. Terraforming will do nothing for that.

Precisely.

It's too bad it gives so much spiritualist attraction though, I would have preferred it if it had been a symbol your government would spin their way -thus boosting governing ethics attraction- rather than being a planet to forget about as a Materialist.
