DD10: Looking at Laws

We have updated our Community Code of Conduct. Please read through the new rules for the forum that are an integral part of Paradox Interactive’s User Agreement.
I am impressed and humbled by their dedication to the game! As a developer (database developer so, nothing as fun as making games, although I've done that on the art/music/design side), all of the complaining and entitlement really irks me. Having to put in a lot of time and effort into something and then having to listen to all the negativity would hurt my motivation to continue on.

They will be starting an Announcement Diary soon. This will start with snippets of what to expect in the full Announcement, changes to the Announcement process (Announcement Patch 3.141597...), and then finally lots of details about new Announcement features, such as the one click "Give us more info you bastards" button, the "Instant complain" button, the "CK1 beta version was better" button and even more unexpected yet oddly extremely informative comments from Groogy.

What are the odds that there will be new laws of any sort? Since the other new tabs weren't shown in this DD (and it makes sense to take advantage of the new space), cautious optimism seems to be in order.
It's pretty shy and still hanging out in the cellar with Nibbles and Groogy in leather pants.
So it's unknown.
Except what the devdiaries tell us.
It would be neat if the new government description could be implemented as a mapmode, so we could see whether a country was an Elective Aristocratic Empire or a Byzantine Bureaucratic Empire, rather than just FEUDAL.
Hey Birken, how about fixing some game-breaking issues like OP nomads, seduction or super-stable blobs instead of focussing on superficial cosmetic nonsense? You know, there are people who actually want value for their money, and who are not satisfied with this "oh why should be make serious work, there are mods available"-attitude.

Succession Crisis I believe the name of the CB was called and it would make a wonderful comeback if it did.

What is this magical sounding CB you speak of? Sounds of something before my time.
It wasn't super special in its initial implementation, and I don't even know how long it's been gone. It wasn't much different than having a strong claim. I'm sure it could be more interesting though.

Huh.... not seeing anything there that is all that different from forming a faction or just pressing someones claim.

I think they are actually working on game-breaking issues, but as it seems that the DLC release is still quite far away, they do not want to give us too much of the patch and DLC contents yet. That's why they tell us about details in the meantime.
