DD&Arma install question?

Hey guys,
i just got the Anthology edition of HoI, and i'm not sure how exactly to install DD and Arma.

1.I need to install DD first.
2.Install Arma in the exactly the same directory ( .../Doomsday)? Or just in .../Paradox Interactive/Armageddon ?
3. Do i need to install 1.2 patch afterwards? or 1.3?

One last question, after installing DD & Arma - it says in the upper right corner "version 1.1", but in the read me is stated 1.3a?

The readme is probably from Doomsday 1.3a. Did you install Arma into a completely separate folder from DD? You can't just accept the default install locations.

They are both installed on my D drive, full path looks like this:
D:\games\Paradox Interactive\Doomsday
D:\games\Paradox Interactive\Armageddon

If you double click on the HOI2.exe file in the second folder... does the game come up as 1.1 Armageddon?

If so you will need to apply the 1.2 Arma patch into the second folder.....

Then you can apply the 1.3 Arma patch into the second folder as well.

When fully patched it should read as

1.2 Arma VBLV
1.3 Arma Beta DVJN

Now, i've installed 1.2 patch: It wanted to install into ".../Doomsday" folder, and i changed it to ".../Armageddon". Then i installed 1.3 beta in ".../Armageddon" folder too. Now it reads as:
Doomsday 1.3a /JCJS/
Armageddon 1.3 Beta: Jan 15 2009 /DVJN/
Is this correct?

I'm lost as well.

I believe you are correct. Reading through this forum I have read that it helps to rename the avi file to aviBack.

I believe you are correct. Reading through this forum I have read that it helps to rename the avi file to aviBack.

That gets rid of the intro movies and does correct some technical issues with some users.

Is it supposed to show both DD JCJS/Arma DVJN on the screen when you load or only the Arma DVJN?

With the Anthology version it should be

Doomsday Armageddon v1.3 Beta: Jan 15 2009 (DVJN)

I had the same problem installing and followed the the instruction given, at least I think I did. When I start DD Arma I get a message " Please install the latest milestone". I have installed all patches already. Can anyone help?

Questions

1. Do you own HOI2 Doomsday.
2. Do you own HOI2 Armageddon?
3. Did you install the HOI2 Armageddon 1.2 patch?

All three are required to install the 1.3 Arma patch

A resounding "Yes" to all three questions. I bought the HOI bundle via gamersgate.

Lets troubleshoot this....

How many icons do you have for HOI2?

Write down the file path for these icon here (properties of the icon)

Also need to know if you have Vista or not.

It must have to do with the Arma install, because Doomsday itself runs. I installed Arma in a seperate directory as requested, and then applied the patches.

If you double click on the HOI2.Exe file in that directory.. does it crash?

There are these folders:
c:..../Paradox.../Armageddon
c:..../Paradox.../Doomsday
c:..../Paradox.../Hearts of Iron 2
in each of these folders is a HOI2 file.

I have Windows XP.

Before you installed the Armageddon game did you test it to see what version it was on?

And did you install the 1.3 Beta files into the Armageddon folder?
