There are two similar mods for this. One is Settling Accounts for AoD, and the other is Deo Vindice for HoI3. Maybe you could use some material to speed up your work.
Also a few event ideas:
-diplomatic recognition from bigger powers. (Britain would have a 90% chance to recognize CSA, France 80%, AH would have 60%. Nothing groundbreaking, just relation changes, and flavor events.)
-positive relation between Brazil and CSA. (In OTL Brazil has given refuge for a large number of Confederates and their families, so even in this timeline they would be friendly to each other.)
-colonial adventures in Central America, and the Caribbean.
-late 19th century Mexican-CSA war over border tensions (and the US would probably supply Mexico with weapons, and material)
-possible much earlier Japanese-US war, but this time over the Philippines or Hawaii (because the US navy would be considerably weaker in the western parts, while the eastern navy strength can't be lowered because of the CSA presence)
-Selling weapon technologies to other countries (mainly the improved iron-clad ships, and the improved machine guns.)
-Relation to the Native American people, and the issue about Stand Watie, and its units. (Weather or not to reintroduce them to the state army.)
-Supplying and arming secessionist movements in the southern part of US
-Border clashes with the US
-Invasion of Liberia (or maybe the French would invade it, with a low chance of Franco-US war)
