I am very impressed, is the best game of Paradox. The historical issue of the game is exceptional, there are counties where there are cities with historic names. One example is Calatrava where there is a town called Villareal that today is Ciudad Real.
Details of CK are the best thing about the game.

Paradox Congratulations, you have done the best historical game, and I wish you millions of sales.

I noticed some of the Scots history goes back to around 200AD.

Its really awesome viewing all of them, just a shame not all of them link to their wikipedia pages.

The fun thing about making a game over history we are not required to prove our family trees. The claim that the Scottish Kings shared dissidence from the Niall of the 9 hostages is speculative. Still we put it in for precisely the reason you give, it does look awesome and does give characters more context in the game when they have a family tree, even if it is speculative.

Hi, slightly off topic. I'm presuming we'll be able to create the town of Stirling at some point in the game?

the same could be said for culture mods, everyone will make a culture mod for their part of europe. Theres nothing wrong with that but it will mean there are fifty or so culture mods.
That's why I'm sure there will be an equivalent to the Deus Vult Improvement Pack. :p

You presume incorrectly. The game does not allow you to create a settlement as a town that already exists as a castle.

Oops sorry , my mistake. I was looking through provinces and only saw the lower holdings in Lothian. I forgot the regional capital ,you know the one with the hard to miss bigger picture.
BTW I'm looking at the real Castle right now out my window.

Kind of unrelated. But I was thinking about how CK2 with some text file modding as well as some portrait modding to add a bit more flavor, would make for an incredibly easy and nice looking way to build a real life presentable family tree.

Just change the start date/bookmark to 2012, and then go down from there with yourself, parents, their parents, etc. Screw Genealogy.com, CK2 doubles as that!
