So now its going to be time to restart as the Allied Occupation Zone and later the FRG?
By the way, I kinda wonder how Germany's post WW2 borders are going to be dealt with. That allied advance drove right up to the gates of Berlin, while the Soviets snatched Bavaria away during your Downfall. Might we see some border adjustments, to make them more like the IRL West/East German borders, or are you just gonna keep it this way and go with it?
One thing I think about too is that due to that Allied advance right up to Berlin, the Soviet imposed Berlin Blockade probably wont be possible anymore....
I thought about these too. I just had surrender event in my game but still full surrender didn't fire. There are some other problems :
+ Americans seem to be very passive in the Pacific War.
+ Division of Germany, though nearly historical in terms of quantity of territories held by US and USSR is not suitable for some cold war events and we may lose them due to "bad" division.
So, what comes to my mind is to start from September 1945 scenario. In that scenario, Germany is historically divided between Allied nations and Japan has just been defeated. Division of Germany is different but i think as my "real" division is comparable to actual division in terms of territorial quantities, it is not very unfair to do that. Japan will eventually be defeated, so it doesn't matter much if we flashforward this.
If I begin from September 1945. My path should be like this :
+ Take Panama or some other bystander, wait for the formation for Allied Occupation Zone.
+ Take Allied Occupation Zone, try to rebuild German economy. Rearming is forbidden as it would be gamey.
+ Take Federal Germany when it is formed and lead Germany through Cold War.
