On this post I want to focus more on different world scenarios that could play out.
For example, if I want to dominate the world as Romania, It's very very hard, without cheats at least.
When you're ready to declare war on your neighbouring countries, eg. Hungary, It's already under German alliance.
Or if you try to declare war on Austria as Hungary in, let's say 1935 you have to rush Austria and then into Germany before they create the wehrmacht, Germany will also eventually declare war because it has independence guarantee on Austria. (and majority of other nearby nations)

But in HoI4, world conquering as smaller nations seems a lot easier, especially with no micro-management when you have the AI controlled generals that do the attacking and defending for you, just draw a line!

So I want to know what you guys think of this, and I want to hear your experiences on world domination in DH as smaller nations.

I got the idea to ask your experiences from this image that @Gukpa posted on forums.

Ps. Tried Communist China today, Japan wipes it off the map like Billy Mays wipes dirt off of the tiles in those commercials.
Pps. I tried 1942 scenario with it, managed until 1948 when Japan finally surrendered, and I got a chance to declare war on Nationalist China, Nationalists wiped me out, 0 help from Soviets.

Hearts of Iron IV is a mass game, you can see people that never played a strategy game before on youtube making world conquests as greece or Mongolia, while DH is without a doubt the most realistic world war 2 simulator I have ever seen (sadly I cannot say the same about WWI).

The closest thing to a world conquest which I did in DH was with Russia in KR and even then Australia, Indonesia, North and South America, parts of Asia and Africa were unaffected by my troops. It's not impossible to do total conquest but it will take at least another 15 years and I'm already in 1951. The biggest problem are the ships - UoB and Japan still are the biggest naval powers even after losing their wars (UoB - Germany, Japan - Russia) and my ships are nothing more than a bunch of metal compared to theirs.

In short - I never succeed to achieve world conquest in DH...

@Gukpa Well....I dunno man, whenever playing as whatever nation other than Germany, Germany absolutely crushes, EVERYTHING.
Sometimes France falls before 1940, sometimes Germany has 700 IC before war breaks out with Russia. It's not that realistic. :c

@Timur Khan Same with me, I managed to crush Germany and before Allied troops could land to France, got France as well.
I managed to take basically all of the world's neutral lands, then I declared war on, well, EVERYONE. It was truly a world war, I didn't play it until the end but it was somewhere around 1955-1957 as I took basically all of Europe, Africa, Asia and started conquering most of America, slowly but steadily.

It is more realistic than other games of the gender, especially HoI IV

I tend to agree. DH takes years to learn and comes with a massive manual. Hearts of Iron V will be a mass game too. more inclusive for beginners.
