On an earlier issue, I'd argue that a successful Jacobite rebellion and Stuart restoration would pretty much decrease stability across the board, the main issue is you've got a Catholic monarch weighing over a largely Anglican (in the case of England and Wales) and Calvinist (in the case of Scotland) population, a population who took no action against and actively supported the deposition of the Stuart Catholics. The only real support would come from the usually rebellious and discontent Catholic Irish, the scarcely populated Scottish Highlands, and the quiet and suppressed Catholic minority across much of Great Britain. Not to mention rhe belief of the Stuart's in the nonnegotiable divine right of kings to rule as absolute monarchs.
What would be interesting is perhaps almost a repeat of the glorious revolution of 1688 in which the Protestant William III of the Netherlands overthrew his father in-law James II & VII of England and Scotland in a bloodless invasion supported by the English parliament. it's highly unlikely that a Stuart restoration would simply be accepted by he majority of the population.
You've got George II the exiled King and now only the elector of Hanover still about for another 20 years or so before his grandson inherits, but also his daughter Princess Anne, spouse of Stadholder William IV of the Netherlands, the first hereditary Stadholder and the first since William III.
The thing is with alternate history in an ambitious mod like this is that it leaves so many questions open affecting the wider world. Will Irish Separatism evolve as it did under a Catholic monarch, what will happen to the colonial disputes between Britain and France (The Jacobite uprisings being funded and supposed to be assisted by the French), what will the line of succession look like? (Restored Stuarts would need a whole collection of new fictional monarchs as they'd be unlikely to make the same marriages they did in exile, and you've got the scenario if another Protestant dynasty takes the throne.).
With an ambitious project like this, I'd definitely focus on (working on at least) the historical first, the ahistorical will likely be just as much if not more work to introduce. Will be keeping an eye on this to see how it progresses.
