Hello everyone,

It's been long time since the last patch ( 1.05.1) of our beloved game , but we're happy to announce that we have yet another small update ready for you. :)

Addressed issues:
1. Removed unit and brigade types and models limitation to allow values above 127 to be used. Fixed crash on start building custom units of type u_88 or above.

2. Province improvements ordered from province panel with Ctrl, Shift or Shift+Ctrl (build to the max) sometimes are one level less (for example order 8 instead of 9 infra levels for prov with 10% infra)

3. Fix CTD on automatic brigade detach from unit in redeployment pool on upgrade to another unit type - 1.02 bug

4. Fixes various issues with expeditionary forces left under command of another country indefinitely. Reclaim and return all expeditionary forces on:
- separate peace
- making a country puppet
- country ban from alliance

5. Recalculate alliance leader when old alliance leader is:
- made a puppet
- annexed

6. Fix not deleted units in redeployment pool on accepted peace with forced disarmament clause.

7. Fix issue with auto creation of resource convoy from oversea puppets when the puppet country has own convoys. (for example ENG puppet to GER)

8. Fix issue with maintaining of resource convoys (no transports assigned) from oversea puppets when the puppet has no resources produced in its provinces. (for example OMN puppet to GER)

9. Fix issue with fleets not getting experience from sunk enemy convoys.

10. Change combat distance of convoy attack from 0km to attacking fleet's desired range.

11. Fix issue with secedearea / secederegion commands with default/old logic ([when = 0] or no [when] specified) together with [which = -1] (secede to current controller) preventing secession of provinces - 1.02 bug

The patch was meant to be only about bug-fixing, but as you've waited for so long we agreed that a few minor new features could be added too:
1. Added option for air units on Naval Strike mission to attack enemy convoys.

2. Set the country with most IC as alliance leader when the old leader is removed from the alliance (made puppet or annexed). Note: Player controlled countries still get a bonus of 100 points.

3. Removed cost for trade deals between allied or puppet-master countries.

Please note that this patch should be installed only over a fully patched to 1.05 or 1.05.1 version of Darkest Hour!

Check-sums should remain unchanged from 1.05/1.05.1:
KVZZ - Darkest Hour Full
TENE - Darkest Hour Light
LNIC - No mods (Darkest Hour Core)

To install: download attached ZIP file, extract patch installer (Darkest Hour Unified Patch 1.05.2 Hot-Fix.exe) and run it. It should find your game and update the Darkest Hour.exe file.
On success you'll see the game version changed from 1.05/1.05.1 to 1.05.2

Have fun! :)

In the following days we'll update Darkest Hour version to 1.05.2 on Steam, GOG and Robot Cache platforms and I'll update this post accordingly.

There is an uproar around Japan now. As a mod creator, I ’ m really happy to see these updates!

My request is to add more country tags and increase the infrastructure up to 200% like AOD. PLEASE TAKE CARE OF ME!!!

Are you really sure that you need more country TAGs? Have you already used all the new tags introduced in 1.05?

Very ambivalent feelings.
On the one hand, I have almost buried the hope that the best Hoi game forever will someday came back to life and continue to be developed.
Therefore, when I was informed about the "new patch", I was shocked and got incredibly happy!

But after reading that here are not talking about "starting work on creating a new revolutionary add-on with a lot of new additional mechanics and concepts", but just a few minor fixes (although they all are useful), I got sad.

In fact, nothing new has appeared.

After very bad Hoi3/4, I have no hopes that Hoi-5/6 will be adequate games and will be able to surpass DH. Therefore, the hope for the development of DH is my only hope to play good WW2 Global Strategy.

I would really like to get not a free patch with cosmetic changes, but to buy a new $30 DLC with new improved mechanics and concepts.

Is there any chance of such serious DH progress in the future? Please!!! :)

HOLY SH¤#!!! A shame the insignificant torpedo uboat bug is not fixed, so that the persistant guy on steam forums will still whine.

What a nice surprise! I see where nick is coming from though but regardless I'll take it as we are desperate!

Well, call me surprised!

Its nice to see some signs of life from the ol' DH team!

I saw nothing about it, so I guess we don't need to do any changes for 1.05.1 mods to keep working, right?

Hopefully, this means we shall more in the future...

By the way, @MartinBG , since we're talking removing limitations (removing limitations on units was awesome, btw), any chance that in the future, we can get more colors or at least the ability to make our own new UserColors colors to use in the game?

Its a bit dissonant that we can alter colors as much as we wish, but we can't truly make new ones, only change the existing ones. I'm not gonna lie, I am currently having a bit of a Different Country Same Color issue in FODD mod. I suspect other modders might be running into it, althrough not as much because their map is bigger and they have more nations apart.

If its not possible to allow us to make new colors at will, at least more UserColors would be neat, say - one UserColor per country tag? This way, we could always have one unique color per country. Even, like, +50 or +100 UserColors would be pretty neat.

Its such a small thing (I think? I don't know how hard it is to code new UserColors or allow us to add them), I'm surprised you guys never did and I never saw anyone ask for it. But it would be really good.

The map colors limit is quite limiting even for us as we added a bunch of new nations to DH Full mod. Actually we increased map colors from 26 to 32 (UserColor1-6) with the first release of the game in order to improve the situation a bit. I cannot recall the exact details, but I believe the reason we stopped at 32 is that going above that will require changes to the internal representation of the map that in turn would probably require changes to map file formats breaking compatibility with existing maps. Please don't quote me on that as the above is from memories and I could be wrong on the details, but I'm sure there was a good reason to not do it back then and most probably that reason is still valid today.

As for your second question, yes, 1.05.2 is fully compatible with 1.05/1.05.1 mods and that's the main reason for us to do an EXE-only release. Following patches would require some work on mods as we're adding new modifiers that should be at least transferred to the mod.
