Ok it has been a few weeks since I played Darkest Hour. Now when I do play DH its all in FOW. I don't understand why it is like this now. Was it some magical stupid patch to ruin a good game ? Leave my stuff alone please Steam LOL. Is there any way to fix this and have no stupid FOW ?

Just like real life, the enemy usually kept their forces hidden from the enemy in the rear, so that they would not know where they would strike. This, sir, is called STRATEGY. What you are talking about is a cheat that removes the fog of war, and it is mostly used to check how the AI is behaving, not to make the game better.

The game has always had FOW, so in fact i question if you are not stupid for thinking so.

Finally, if you do want to cheat, press f12 and type nofog.

If you really don't want it there are Console commands. I would say "git gud" and be a dick normally, and I'm not implying it by saying it to be sarcastic either.

Try it out on lower difficulty, and get the hang of it. The challenge of it is worthwhile.

I really mean it when I say when I started playing games by Paradox Interactive from playing the simpler Civilization or Empire Earth titles there was a learning curve. This game is a solidly polished game that has a realistic gameplay few others can match.

You can always lower the difficulty of the AI to get the hang of it. Stick with it and I think you'll love this game as much as I do.

Invest in more airpower to scout out enemy forces and fighters to eliminate their ability to do it themselves. AI is stuck with Fog of War as well, so they will only see the forces arrayed against them or in range of sight. Additional Radar towers can also help in seeing further as well.
