Darkest Hour launcher crashes

Every time I try to open the launcher it crashes in two seconds, before even actually opening it. I've had no problems with it before, but now I can't open it at all.
The actual game works well if I open it directly through darkesthour.exe, but I can't change the mod back to darkest hour full because the launcher crashes every single time.
i'm running the game on Windows 7.

Launcher requires MS NET Framework 2.0 or newer (comes as update on windows).

Well I can't think of anything happening between "now" and "before" that would affect this game. The only thing I can think of is installing mod33, but the launcher acted like this even before installing it.
I just remembered that it worked yesterday for some time, but it took some time for the launcher to open and the game was pretty slow. After that it stopped working again.

Try running Launcher as Administrator.
If that doesn't help I would recommend doing a clean re-install in a folder outside Windows protected folders ("C:\Games\Darkest Hour" is a good location)

I already run it as administrator, and the location of the game has always been in the Games folder, like you recommendet.

Anyway, the Launcher basically writes the file DH\setting.cfg and then launches DH\Darkest Hour.exe, so you can edit settings.cfg to choose options (DHFull, DHLight or mods among then) and then launch the game.

One question about this crash: do you receive a standard Windows error telling you that the program stopped working, or is it .NET Framework exception window which looks like this:

If it's the latter, you can post here the contents of "Details" (copy-paste) so it may be fixed. Other way, it's probably some problem with your framework installation.

Bizon: It's a standard Windows error. I would have copied the "details" if it were a exception window.

I guess I'll just have to re-install the game if the launcher continues to crash.. All those mods

Okay, so I re-installed the game and it still keeps doing this. What am I supposed to do, to get it working again?
