Dauphiné not turning into France despite having the upper hand at the end of the HYW?
Hi. 'm new to the mod, so I don't really know what is normal and what isn't, but I don't think the following situation is logical : is this supposed to be a possible outcome of the HYW (1.39, VH/Coward, btw)?
in case you are wondering which colour is Burgundy, don't, Burgundy is gone.
It kind of opposed Henri's claim to the throne, so it declared war on England along with France. I used the opportunity to launch my own alliance into conflict with England, and took most of the spoils. (Gascogne to FOix, which I later Annexed, and Nor, Caux & Pic to Deauphiné)
There were events popingup about the crowning of the Dauphin as king, and indeed what was left of France (Calais and Paris) was led by Charles VII, But plain "Charles" was still head of the Dauphiné.
Since I had a casus belli on France, I jumped on the occasion of a renewal of the conflict between England + allies & France + burgundy + allies to backstab the later group, against whome I had a CB, and, combining with the English troops but taking again all the spoils, I raped Burgundy and took Calais from France.
To put an end to the schizophrenic feeling of having two Charles around, I finished off France as soon as I could, and Burgundy's only province rebelled, and instead of seing the setting a new Burgundian GVT, Brabant declared its independance, effectively destroying Burgundy forever.
So, by 1453: France & Burgundy out, England off the continent.
Is the fact that I never got the option to become France normal?
Cause not having any of the French events doesn't make the game very exciting. :/
