Lately, whenever I try to load a any (new or old) saved game, no shield is shown and I can't begin a game. I tried to play a scenrio and then load while still in game, it crashes to my desktop! What the hell gives?

did you do a little "re-writing" with the saved game? if so, you might have accidently deleted something that causes it to crash. If you didnt change it, them somethings majorly wrong and only the people in the support forum can help you.
